I sit in the Ponty at the West Stand end and pigeon waste redistribution has never been a problem. I blame Whitey, it's all his fault!
I've persisted with a season ticket for my son who's 11 - he's been lukewarm, don't blame him given I can count on one hand the number of wins we saw last season, but he turned to me during the WBA match and said "I've missed this" - fair brought a tear to my eye it did!
In fairness, I used to complain about this. But trust me, I now know the seats are cleaned daily. But birds will turd I’m afraid.
You can't keep using this "trust me" stuff mate. Just stop it. It makes it seem like you know summat we don't. By virtue of your position. And you were full of "trust me we'll be alright" last season. And we weren't. I know it seems as though I'm getting on at you. And I'm sorry. "Trust" is a bigger more important word than you give it credit for. Leave it be.
I've never had a problem with them, old mate, and I'm certain I offer a much bigger target even if my seat doesn't!
I used to sit lower west and encountered the odd turd. But that was @bossman. But the seats are cleaned daily by a team of cleaning staff. I might very well record a time lapse video of them doing it, if ever I get the time. That would be enthralling viewing. We’ve all watched worse at Oakwell though I’m sure!
1) B*llocks 2) If true it's bloody stupid. Why would they get someone to clean the seats on a Sunday or Monday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday, knowing that no-one will use them on those days? Why not just clean them on Tuesdays and Saturdays? And why clean them even on those days if it's an away match/non match day? 3) Why are the people cleaning them so bad at it that you can't tell they've been done despite potentially having been cleaned 13 times between use?
Wow. How many staff do you devote to this herculean task? For instance, if it was just one and he/she spent just 10 seconds cleaning each seat, which I think is amazingly quick, it would take him/her over 63 hours to clean all 23,000 seats. Or 31 hours for 2 people. Or 16 hours for 4 people. Or 8 hours for 8 people, with no breaks, no lunch, 10 seconds per seat, every day. I must give the club credit, it's an amazing job they take on.
I wish I’d never replied to you now, Kev. I’ve been put well and truly in my place by the joyous and upbeat folk that guard the good ship bbs.
To be fair it was after you posted incorrect information. There is simply no way that all seats are cleaned every day despite what you claim. I would believe that we have a team who clean a section each day on a rotational basis with a view to cleaning them all every few weeks or even that there is a team who's job is to wander the stands and look for any soiled seats to wipe but the idea that they clean each and every seat every day is just absolutely impossible
