He took 8k a week out of this club for the last 2 years, giving next to nothing back. Hope he rots.

Fits with what I've heard that. Club were prepared to offer him one year on a reduced rate, Adam was prepared to take a lower rate but wanted two years. Both are not unreasonable positions and hopefully something can be worked out.

Adam Hammill. In League 1. Would be a superb addition to the squad & would be a leader for Stendel on the pitch. Imagine him coming on for the last 30, running the fullback to death, whipping in crosses for Moore.

I don’t see it happening. Think he has one more crack at the championship. But would be delighted if it did.

He ran his blood to water for this club every time he pulled on the shirt. Glad it’s only a handful that think like you.

No assists and goals last season if I remember. Take the rose tinted glasses off.

You remember wrong then. Put your glasses on.

A winger needs someone to stick a cross in the net.

I heard from an unsubstantiated source that he has been training with the club no idea if it’s true but maybe he could be back as a squad player.

Least he could do for the money he took. Absolute garbage last season. And apart from his first spell he’s been garbage in the championship full stop

That’s a pretty cynical view (that I hope isn’t shared by many) for a modern day reds legend. His goals at Wembley were enough for his legend status as a red.

You do know he didn’t want to take a pay cut. Don’t you?

Hardly anyone shares that opinion. In fact no one I’ve ever spoken to in the flesh. But there’s always one or two. Think BrianMahoney explains it in the thread about his mate.

Unpopular but i somewhat agree - he plays as an individual, his decision making in the final 3rd last year when it mattered was very poor. Some good performances to remember along with important goals but better days behind him I’m afraid.

I know the club offered him a significantly reduced contract that the two parties failed to agree on. And it was agreed Adam was going to explore all options before committing his future. He had more lucrative options but wanted to make sure his next move was right for his family.

Sure you’re far closer to the situation though.

Keep paying him for what happened 3 years ago. How does that work.

Yeah I did think that was the case. He’d be an asset in this league, be great if we could get something sorted.

More lucrative where. He wanted to stay. He didn’t want the pay cut.
