Stendel has stated that he has to see a few game's before picking a permanent captain. For me a good captain can rally the team when they are down and boost the overall mentality and performance of the team when needed. I was just wondering who people think that should be to take us forward this season? For me I would probably say Keiffer, he seems to have a natural presence to him that could inspire others around him to turn it up a notch.
I always prefer a captain to be a central midfielder or centre half, a leader in the middle. I think Lindsay would be a good choice he seems to be very vocal and a few times yesterday he seemed to be getting amongst the players and getting them going even when we we’re 4-0 up which I like to see.
I don’t suppose it does it’s just a personal preference mate! But you are right of course you don’t have to play in a certain position to be leader!
Never thought that a goalkeeper makes a good captain, nor a forward player. For me either a centre-back (like McCarthy) or a midfielder (Redfearn) make the best captains.
Spot on for me this. Always liked the captain to be a central figure in every sense so I’d go with Lindsay or Dougall from those choices.
