It was on the poor side and lacking quality against a team who came for a point. I try to have a balanced view. You do come across on here as overly negative fella, sincerely hope that isn't your general outlook on life!! We're still unbeaten and haven't conceded in the league - I'd say that's grounds to be mildly optimistic
We didn't have a meaningful attempt on goal. A better side would have beaten us today. Like they did 23 times last season.
We weren’t at the races today by any stretch of imagination. We were poor attacking wise in particularly Moore who’s touch let him down time and again. Potts also who half the time was in a dream world thinking he has bags of time only to be easily dispossessed. We’ve had plenty of games like that last season the only difference is we’d be 2 goals down not 0-0, and that just illustrates the standard of opposition. We tried to force it through the middle too often which against a team like Wimbledon won’t work. We never really had a plan B which was wingers effectively getting the ball into the box because we don’t have the wingers with the ability to do so. And until that’s rectified we will continue to struggle against teams that come to Oakwell looking to frustrate us and nab a point.
Wimbledon didn't exactly play ten men behind the ball. They were well organised and we lacked the know how to break them down.
You only ever post when we lose or play **** didn't see you on here after Oxford or Bradford I'm all for been a realist or whatever but you only seem to want to knock the club and players. I can't take you serious for that reason.
Wasn’t me being snide with you after the Oxford game because I believe the last post I read of yours before this was the one slagging Thiam off before the season started. Today was tough, Wimbledon came to defend/get a point and did exactly that. They were solid at the back and only ever trying to nick something, anything they could. Last season teams didn’t come to get a point against us, they came to beat us because we weren’t good enough, collectively or individually.
Disagree. Wimbledon played for a draw. Not many (if any) did that last season. I think you're original post lacks perspective. Yes we need to improve. But by no means was it as bleak as you suggest.
To be fair to Wimbledon they set up perfectly and could’ve scored so I was doing a disservice to them with that last comment.
3 games played. Beat oxford who have lost all 3 and bradford who sit 18th. Drawn at home against a team who have also had a decent start. We are not briliant but we are a good team who individually are better than most in this division. We should be in the top 3 come the end of the season: hope it's 2nd.
Wimbledon may well end up being the first half-decent team we've played in the league this season. And we struggled, quite one dimensionally, for most of the game. We need speed out wide and would benefit from a nippy striker who looks to be a threat on through balls and feeding off Moore. Bradshaw looked mediocre today. And Victor seems as yet a blunt instrument. We might be hard to beat at home. Which is a start. It won't get us promoted though.
Think it’s quite telling when we needed to fetch a winger on to replace Potts we had to turn to a young full back in Williams.
The official Twitter account mentioned a couple of good saves by Davies and a disallowed goal. They do tend to exaggerate though.
