Obviously scunny will finish champions on 100+ points if he signs.... been serious though I still think he would be decent for any team in this league his championship days are over though unfortunately.
So the powers that be are happy for him to sign for another local club - obviously not his money demands as has been suggested - seems he just isn't wanted back at Oakwell.
I think you are probably right but how do you know Scunny arent giving him a much better offer than we were? if we gave him one at all
LOVE him or LOATHE him he'll tear this league apart, i hope they sign him. GUD LUK to Adam and Scunny.
I do find it unfathomable that we are crying out for wide men with creativity and there's Hammill clearly very available about to sign for a rival from this league. He might not fit the recruitment criteria but surely there's room for a top player at this level who would tick so many boxes. I'll be sad to see him performing well at Scunthorpe whilst we are playing strikers and central midfielders out wide whilst our wingers get fit.
Time will tell with Hamill. You would have thought at 30 he would still be able to do it in league one,, but no one has been in a rush to sign him. The last time he was consistently good was over 2 seasons ago. 2 years is a long time in football. It's not a given that he was good then, so he'll be good again now.
I see your point but thiam is a winger pretty sure he played most games in France on the wing and it has always looked his best position for me he his no striker.
Been done to death this now. We wont sign him (or any other player over 26) because he has no re-sale value. It really is that simple. We might not agree with it but this is now how the club operates.
