I simply cannot see the point in hoping he might be fit for a few games?
Taking salary and a place that could be used by a fit player!
And no this is not a cry for AH.
I would prefer to offload and bring in a loan to buy!

    Fair comment mate.

It's become a rarity to see him play.

It's only three games in but there is a definite pattern in his career and it's difficult to see things changing. I hope he gets fit and stays fit but sadly I am not confident.

I assume it's based on the last 12 month's not just the last 2 week's.

Who exactly would you offload to , do you think with only 10 days of the loan window left, that teams will be coming in for an injured player ? We know he can do it when he is fit so bringing in a short term loan to play on the wing is the only option we really have at this stage.

It is based on more than 3 games this season, not that fickle
But at some point there has to be a realisation that we need fit players, not injury prone ones.
Feel sorry for him, but this is a football club, players are paid to play football

I would be at least trying a few options.
Tbh, I wouldn't have waited until now, pre season showed what to expect!

Can’t see any point in offloading him at this moment in time. But if it gets to say January or certainty next summer and he’s still got the same track record for injuries and isn’t contributing to the season then I believe it will be time to look for a replacement.

What’s left on his contract? Maybe that’s a factor to consider as well.

I think his contract runs until summer 2020.

I’d offer him on loan to Peterborough before backing out. Just to piss that ***** McAnthony off.

You were suggesting to get rid now , I just do not know how you can , plus if he does get back to the level of fitness required , we know he can be more than useful in this league .

How is Ryan Williams doing at Rotherham? We didn't get any value out of him. And hasn't he come good now?

The frustrating thing is that when he is fit and playing, he's looked a real player. He's got bags of potential.

See where you are coming from and he definitely has had his fair share of injuries but is there such a thing as cutting our losses? We'd just pay him up, wouldn't we so on that basis he might as well persist and hope he finds the form we've seen the first time around.

    Agreed.

Too early to be thinking about cutting losses. Just having an unlucky run I reckon. Played consistently well over a period of time in promotion push.

Hasn’t always been picked when fit since. Get him fit and playing out wide and he’ll become a mainstay of the team.

Is he not playing because he’s still injured or is it that he’s not attained the level of fitness yet following his injury to play at the current level? Just wondering.

They seem to be keeping him fit but still, he wouldn't make our 1st team. Poor side in general they'll be straight back down no question....

He's injured, got a knock at Blackpool, nothing serious, but they didn't go into detail at the presser.
