Moncur is never going to make a starter in an football team in England in the top couple of divisions & probably lower.
He could probably play in lower level teams in Spain or Italy, where you can walk around with your hands on your hips for 70 of the 90 minutes of any match. He's a great impact sub, nothing more.

Well many thought last years squad was rubbish and needed replacing. That's not going so well. :)

To be fair, I didn't. I was critical of signing too many similar players & not having enough experience.
I'd play Potts as a number 10 over Moncur. He puts himself about. His finishing isn't great, but he scores more than Moncur, covers more ground & is a physical presence & has a bit of pace. If Bradshaw goes we need someone, in, but just saying, he would be a better fit. Moncur can come on for the last 20.

I like Moncur, his ability to glide past players is better than anyone else in our squad. However, as others have said, he doesn’t have the fitness to cover the ground in the system we play for an extended period of time.

And anyway, doesn’t his contract run out in the summer so he should be off either in the next few days or January right?
