Vaz te same league McIndoe same league Hammill talked to club in same league (but ultimately close another)
I’m not questioning that release clauses were activated. My gripe was the assertion that clubs knew how much to bid when in reality a release clause could be activated by a higher level side almost coincidentally by virtue of them being a higher level club as opposed to meeting a monetary value.
Prove it. I want a hand written and signed note from not only Patrick cryne but the buying clubs chairman too otherwise I will tell you that you are wrong and then pretend I'm peter Jones and shout I'm out before running away with my tail between my legs and playing the victim.
I'd forgotten about that. I remember now. Funny in retrospect but it wasn't at the time. What was his name, our club secretary who answered your question, I can't for the life of me remember.
I believe that evidence exists on this very forum in the style of meeting minutes that I asked the specific question
I haven’t had sight of the contract so I’m unable to comment on what does and doesn’t fall within the definition of a higher level side or however they quantify it. There are teams within the same division who are arguably a higher level side, but that’s a different debate for a different time. Back to the op, I’m still massively against it and will remain so even if you and Jay like each other’s posts until the end of time. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion.
Sorry your correct It wasn't. I can see his face now. He asked "sharon" to confirm it too. And I've forgot his name as well
Sorry, I mentioned a higher division because you specifically claimed a HIGHER DIVISION. I didn't realise you would pretend you didn't and change it to pretend you meant higher status in the same division when proven wrong. My bad
Don Rowing! That's him. Monday "We have no more players who have releases clauses in their contracts" Wednesday "We have reluctantly accepted a fee for Craig Davies after we were offered a fee that matched his release clause"
Woah, just seen the edit to that post that was originally just the first line. What an unnecessary post in what was just a reasonably good debate. That’s the exact reason why I’ve stayed off the BBS, to be honest. Really uncalled for.
And she did confirm too. Thinking back, he sounded sincere. I don't think he was actually lying, I think he'd genuinely forgotten. Not sure which is worse
What is unnecessary? Am I wrong in what I said about Chris? Was he not doing exactly what I said which is exactly what you are denying happens? And extremely relevant point to make I would have thought.
Don 'no release clause' Rowing, Barry 'the biscuit' Taylor, Rob 'Bransley' Knowles, Mark 'deskgate' Stokes, Gordon 'Trinkets' Shepherd. We've had some 'characters' at oakwell over the years.
I'm not sure. I'm certain the meeting would have descended into chaos if he admitted it that night. Especially as the questions over vaz te and others were being thrown at him
