Behave. It's rife on this board. As soon as any post is seen as slightly negative or critical the hordes are upon it. Conformity is one of the worst things that can happen to a forum. This forum is currently the worst it has ever been. Too many who have absolutely no interest in any form of debate and others who just seek to defend anything and everything about the club. I don't necessarily agree with the OP but a forum is worse off when it loses a prolific poster.
It went beyond provocative though it was absolutely anti social, there was zero chance anybody would agree. If he puts out ***** like that he should be prepared to live with the predictable response.Course that’s just my opinion
I'm on about in general. Which thread was the final nail btw? Was it the one about standing up? I've got a couple of opinions I have never voiced on here as the fallout would be unbearable but I'm 100% convinced I'm right.
Yes it was that one, imho he was either hoping for a reaction ( maybe mixed) or trying to be sensationalist. It was never going to go down well for the myriad of reasons already stated
Post them James, I don't always agree with you but you're just as entitled to your opinion as any other poster on here and you're right that a forum thrives when debate is stimulated however controversial.
It will most likely have been A thread about standing up, because that's pretty much all he ever contributes.
If people post controversial opinions they should expect to have them challenged. They always seem to take huge offense when they are though. Let them post if they want as far as I'm concerned. Either the continued daftness of their comments makes them such caricatures that they lose their ability to create the reaction they want or, if they're seriously annoying, you can stick them on ignore.
The guy clearly was trolling to get a rise out of people. Most people are happy to debate and there are some decent ones on here on a regular basis. What people don't appear to like about you and your posts is that you miraculously disappear whenever the team has won but suddenly reappear whenever they lose or there's a bit of drama on the board. You go on about beige posters but you are the most predictable poster on here.
Whenever the team has won? I posted after the Oxford game gave credit and said I wouldn't be posting because the sanctimony of too many posters would be unbearable. I was correct - it was. You've been an active poster for about ten league games so you don't really know when I disappear or reappear.
Ok you very rarely post anything positive then. The BBS would be boring if everyone had the same opinion, nobody is wanting that. If you were a bit more balanced in your posting i dont think you'd get the amount of stick you seem to get. Ps I thought the Kraken thread was funny at the time
I have been positive about the new owners. Not so much about the previous regime. The players have a long way to before I change my opinion about them. They are going in the right direction but they still have work to do. Negative opinion is frowned upon and the usual suspects try and dismiss it by criticising the poster rather than challenging the opinion. There is also a bad habit of bumping posts with the benefit of hindsight just to discredit a poster and make their opinion less valid. If you stick your neck out you're going to get things wrong. Managers are allowed to make wrong decisions- why should supporters be any different? A post I made over a year ago was recently bumped - even though I hadn't been proved wrong. The sanctimony from too many is beyond a joke. I could go on but it's getting late.
