    Killers at Glastonbury in 2007
The Cribs in Brooklyn who were joined on stage by Lee Renaldo.
    White Stripes/Libertines Leeds Festival 2004

Seen so many bands, my first was a Levellers gig at Sheffield City Hall in 97 and they were unreal.

But my favourite gig was (unsurprisingly) a blink gig. In Nottingham 2004. They were (unknown to fans at the time) fighting off stage and a year away from breaking up. They played that night with pure anger and at break-neck speed. Incredible performance.

I saw them in 2012 (reunion) and they were still blink but noticeably slower and older.

I haven’t seen them since Tom left (again) and whilst they’re my favourite band and I still listen to them regularly, I’ve no real appetite for seeing them live anymore. They’ll never be the angry, 100mph band that I fell in love with.

Saw Oasis at Wembley before they split up and were decent. Acquiesce is summat else live. Off the top of my head I’ve seen and enjoyed Cast, James, Placebo, Suede, Shed Seven, Manics, Skunk Anansie, Thrice and others. Thrice in particular were very good. Some years ago all them though. Not been to a proper venue gig for four years now, just the odd pub band etc.

Biff Byford and "Son of a Bitch" at Barnsley Civic in 1976 (ish)

And as we all know they became a world famous band

I saw Blink 182 last year at First Direct... they played for about an hour tops and the sound was *****. Frank Turner supported and was much better. Was really disappointed.

Could pick any number of gigs at duchess of York in Leeds. Seemed to be there nearly every weekend late 80s early 90s.
Gonna go for Bad Manners, just ahead of The Selecter and Special Beat.

Just a thought..it is impossible to dance to Coldplay or Genesis (apart from Dancing with the Moonlit Knight)

I tried it once with Coldplay at Sheffield Arena...not exactly AC/DC

David Bowie at the Caird Hall Dundee in 1972.

Awesome day. Though I personally thought that The Prodigy stole the show. What absolutely insane lineups you got back in those days. The year before I'd been to see REM at Milton Keynes supported by Blur, Belly and (possibly) the Wannadies. Saw them earlier that week at Huddersfield as well supported by The Beautiful South. The other night at Milton Keynes had Radiohead as support!
