    That isn't what a terror attack is. By your logic a dog attacking a child is a terror attack because it causes terror to people who are there.

    Doesn’t it have to be solely intended to cause terror for that definition though? Otherwise everything should be defined as one. For all we know at the moment it could have been done for any reason.

    Well said. I should have said let's not assume this is Islamist terrorism.

    There again, it could be a targeted attack intended to injure or intimidate one person only. It appears there has only been one injury.

    We simply don't know yet.

    Poor and slow update is that. By a lack of clarity they've allowed the town to receive national (and possibly international) negative attention

    That doesn't make it a terrorist attack.

    It would cause terror to me if I saw somebody stabbing the guy he caught shagging his wife but that wouldnt make him a terrorist.
