I would’ve said Hourihane & Scowen could’ve hacked it in the championship, doubt I’d have backed many others except probably Winnall
Who would want a goalkeeper who has as many clean sheets on his record as Davies. A defender who has been involved in more league one goals than any other defender in the league and has been a regular in a one of the best defences in the league. And mowatt has been excellent so far even after I wrote him off before the season started.
Who wouldn't want Davies? Anyone who scouts him? As I say a league one club would take him but they wouldn't pay money for him. The only way a Championship club would take him is to bench warm.
I don't "fear" losing anyone in particular, but I'm open minded to some of our players being linked with moves away, either in January or at the end of the season if we carry on doing well. To say that we have no players worth selling is just ridiculous. Things have worked out better than you expected, and youre just trying to wind it up from a different angle. I think you would have loved it if we had started the season with a load of defeats. You would have been in your element, you miserable sod.
Could of be used as a replacement for have? Should of be the word to express the relation between a part of the whole? Can you still respect my opinion?
Lost count of the number of players who didn’t hit the ground running. Glavin. Danny Wilson. Hourianne. In Wilson’s case a year. In Potts case not a fan but warming to him. Thiam offers far more than I believe some think. Works hard. ball control one of the best I’ve ever seen. Most marked player. Everyone has a view. and sometimes polar opposites. Does not mean I disrespect their view.
For us to stand any chance of going up automatically or qualifying for the play offs, it is essential that after January window, we still have Dougall and Moore on the books. After his showing yesterday, I hope Bahre can have a growing influence and we can get Woodrow fit asap so that he can affect our future progress. Provided we can avoid suspensions and injuries to key players , I for one am optimistic with regards to our promotional prospects come the end of the season. Good to hear some board contributors saying how much we missed Potts yesterday. I agree. Sooner we can get him back the better.
T The Welsh scouts seem to like him, as he gets called up for the Welsh squad on a regular basis these days
You're not going to be dominant for all of every game at any level. Some times you have to dig in. Other teams will have spells and create chances. The very worst thing you can say about us this season is that we've gone behind and lost the lead once in seven games. Despite not thrashing every team like we did Rochdale and Oxford, we're still unbeaten and on target for a big points total.
Agreed. No one expects them all to be a success and the next level up, but if only 30% are it's still worth it. Those that are currently at their level (i.e. League One) can be moved on to other League One teams. Extending players contracts at this stage does not mean upping their salaries, it just means giving them the certainty of employment and us the security of knowing we won't have to rebuild the team every season. The players themselves don't know if they will make it, although you would hope they believe they can. To me it makes sense to have most of them on longer contracts, so long as they are within the wage structure.
Yet never plays. They called a none league goalie up in May - just to give an idea of their squad depth.
