remove the 1st line and there probably won't be the hysteria , money loss was you're initial concern, H&S the latter, regardless of you're responses after, you've lost the argument from then on
OK. Cool. I'm self employed & I have lost £5000 this summer, despite working my arse off. I have to deal with my dad's dementia. What the **** you arseholes want to judge me for is fine. COYR.
You would've lost the same if the game had been on. Stop digging your own hole and show some respect man!
Its just phrased extremely badly. I think what he was trying to say apart from his inconvenience bit is that it is a crying shame that we (football clubs in general) now care more about paying for hundreds of police to attend the games than we do about making sure there is adequate emergency vehicles. In years gone by an ambulance was parked at the ground EVERY game. These days there is none and he was right that it took over 20 minutes for an ambulance to make the 2 mile journey from the nearest hospital to the ground which is not only disgraceful but also alarming. He said he wasn't blaming the club for this it is legislation which dictates the policing and NHS budget cuts by Hunt and Co which mean ambulances are no longer available. His original post was just badly worded by starting off about his inconvenience. I think what he was getting at was that if we weren't allowing amazon, Costa, Starbucks and all the other big companies to evade tax then an ambulance could have been on site in a matter of minutes instead of getting in to half an hour which would possibly have meant the game could have gone ahead. Personally I don't care about the game going ahead but I do agree with the point that it is a huge shame on football and on government spending that police are prioritised over ambulances.
john, i don't know you from adam, and probably an hard working decent guy, my gripe is that you moan about losing money a bigger issue than someone's health even if unknown to you. any comments on the speed of all medics is up for arguments but i still feel it insulting to use money as your main argument regardless of other personal issues
It’s possible that it took so long because they knew we had the same equipment and experienced personnel on site and so a road ambulance was not needed. We don’t know if it would have arrived much faster if it would have happened elsewhere. It could have just come as a precaution in case there was a fault with the air ambulance and he had to travel by road. I don’t think the air ambulance could have got there quicker.
Only joking. Nobody'd dance to what I'd be playing em. Though I would pay £450 to have an audience of a couple of thousand, locked in a venue just for the one night. Suffering my favourite tunes.
BECAUSE USUALLY THE 1ST LINE IS THE MAIN POINT ! JEEZ your initial point was CHOOSING not to earn today, you lost zero pounds
I could be wrong on this but I think the helicopter that came to us had to come all the way from Thirsk in North Yorkshire, originally it would have come from Sheffield. Their other helicopter is based at Nostell priory.
POSTING THE ORIGINAL THREAD: WTF is your problem? Please read. I'm gutted. I make an average income as a DJ & a game like today costs me £450 to attend in terms of lost earnings & travel costs. That said I can only assume there was a very good reason. The ambulance & air ambulance took a ridiculous time to get on site 20 mins for the former & 30 mins for the latter. We seem to care about having hundreds of officers at local derbies, than having one ambulance on site. F-ing disgrace. Not blaming the club, I assume this is council / police stuff.
That isn't a quote. You are a liar i run a massive DJ agency, what the **** do you do? Sick of racist arseholes like this. This was my post. I'm gutted.
