    I agree with what you say, but even if he wasting away in the stands, he will still be paid a hefty wage whether he plays or not .

    The 35k he’s quoted as being on includes appearance fees I believe, and on top of that he’d also be on clean sheet bonuses, win bonuses etc.

    His basic wage is likely to be ‘hefty’ - but significantly lower than if he plays every week.

    I seriously rate Westwood as one of the best keepers, not only in the Championship, but in the top two divisions, full-stop. I don't see him being on our radar, though, because the management team of no reason not to trust Davies on his current form and will be working to develop further Walton. Three keepers would be an extravagance. I just think he is one of the very best all round, though. He played a huge part in getting Carlisle out of League Two, had a lot of practice at Sunderland and was very good at Wednesday as well. Didn't he give his gloves to one f our young fans at the end of a game at Oakwell? Great keeper. Great guy. But not for us, sadly.
