Appears to have lost the players... lost to Derby, losing 2-0 to West Ham... Can’t imagine he’s got long... Thoughts?
Used to like him when he managed Chelsea, was quite amusing. Now he's just a proper knob who can't manage his players. He needs to go and wouldn't be surprised if that's today.
He hasn't moved with the times , he's resting on old glories . Fergie used to reinvent his team over and over .
Well this team only appears to have reinvented “manscaping” their hair... and boring football. I agree he was good at Chelsea, but appears to have lost all his personality and credibility...
It's either Pogba or Mourinho who's leaving Old Trafford first but I feel neither are the root cause of the issues there. Ed Woodward's first transfer window at Old Trafford was deemed disastrous by the Daily Torygraph. None of Mourinho's wish list prior to this season were acquired and the general belief is that Woodward concentrates too much on commercial activities.
Agree, I don’t think negative, grinding out results type football works at that level these days. All the top team take the game by the scruff of the neck with attacking pace and power, plus the obvious technical ability, and batter teams.
He's a complete tool who makes excuse after excuse to cover his own weaknesses. His attitude is pretty appalling too so I hope he's given the boot.
Watched Football Focus at midday. Paul Ince was a guest. Said that what's happening at Old Trafford at the moment would never ever have been allowed to happen under Sir Alex. Hed have been down on anyone like a ton of bricks plus before Fergie would have had to intervened, the "big" Senior players in the team would have nipped any trouble in the bud. Problem is in his view, there are no " big" players at United capable of keeping things in the dressing room in check. Patently obvious to me, that Pogba is playing up so they let him move in January.
Issue is these days, the football and ‘success’ on the field is secondary to the success of the business.of course they go hand in hand to some extent but buying big names / appointing big name managers to attract interest could actually be better for them than a successful TEAM and winning the league. I heard an interesting fact the other day, the dallas cowboys are the most lucrative sports team/franchise in the world - they last won a super bowl in 1996.
