Had to smile. We were in the seats so I had a good view of the "standuppers" behind the goal. Watching that end go up when we took the lead was superb. It took me back years. Looked like that end could easily have squeezed in some more reds fans as well, and it was a shame that tickets were so scarce despite big gaps in the home support. I was talking to a couple in the chippy before the game. They were hoping they could pay in but I don't know whether they managed it.
Bloody hell! I wish I'd known. My son didn't have a ticket. He's at Preston uni, I could have picked him up on my way.
The standing and seating areas were all in full voice, which was great. Seating area is much better than standing. Gangway opened so smokers could go out for a smoke instead of in the toilets, less of a queue for a slash, less of a queue for catering, huge TVs for Soccer Saturday and a less cramped concourse. Only having 200 seats probably helps with most of that mind.
Really enjoyed standing on a terrace today and a great atmosphere too. You are correct about the space could have got a lot more in safely but was nice to have the extra room.
