I support America's team... the famous DALLAS COWBOYS. (and Im only an armchair fan here of course, but Ive supported them since Ch4 first started showing the NFL here in the UK back in about 1983) Whatever happened to that bird Debbie by the way, she was very famous in Dallas/TX in the 70s. My/our teams rivalries are with teams like N.Y Giants, Washington, and the dirty over rated Philadelphia. And heres a question, why on earth are Dallas in an eastern division, when they are clearly a southern based team!!.
Good question haha! I think it's because they have nowhere to go, and because of those rivalries that you mentioned and rivalries in general. The NFC South is stacked (Atlanta, New Orleans, Carolina, Tampa) technically they're all more east of Dallas, but there would be no rivalry there unlike a Buccs-Panthers or like a Cowboys-Redskins. Makes no sense from an outside perspective but I'm sure that Cowboys fans would rather have those games with the Redskins/Eagles/Giants every year. The other Texas team, the Texans, over in the AFC actually do play in that south division haha.
Well Tom, I really wish the NFL would make more 'derby' matches and surely Dallas & Houston in the same division would be a good idea ?. (remember when they were the Houston Oilers ? lol). And we in the Nfc East used to have another team.. they were the St Louis Cardinals, and then they moved to Phoenix, and then onto Arizona, and then they moved lock stock n barrel to a different division completely lol.
Yes but if the two Texas teams were in the same conference the dream of an all Texas Superbowl would be over hahah.
Im guessing your not a fan of either of the Texan teams, eh Tommy ?. Hey I hate the 'America's team' tag, I dont know where it came from and why, and I only use it for sarcy effect of course these days lol. We won 3 Superbowls in 4 years between 92 & 95, and had it not been for a loss in the Nfc title game away at San Frisco, it could have been an amazing 4 successive wins because remember, the NFC were the dominant league in those days.
Not particularly but I do have a slight soft spot for the Cowboys I guess, I blame this on the King of the Hill TV show. The shows main character, Hank Hill, is a HUGE Cowboys fan haha. They really are Americas team though, you go to any NFL or Nike store in the US anywhere and the Cowboys will have their own featured section. To try and make a comparison they're kind of like how Manchester United are here, always seem to find fans of the team no matter where you go.
We call them ManUre in England Tommy kid lol. Because they are absolutely full of it and are totally up their own 'holes'. (although the same could be said about my own Dallas team, couldnt it lol)
I've tried to get into NFL a few times but struggle with all the breaks in play. I'm going to have a crack again tonight and after trying to decide a team to follow I've gone for Seahawks... mostly due to my love of the music from there . I watched redzone last sunday and quite enjoyed it.
If Vic Beasly is out long term, we might as well just throw the towel in for the season. As far as this game though, man, our offence needs to be insane.
Jeff Stello always presents like hes on some of my famous tabs lol. I dread to think what he would look and sound like though, if he did actually take that stuff.
