Good read. Seems a very accurate analysis of the errors in strategy retention and recruitment to me.

I think that's more likely the case. Was said at the time.

Leeds are the mugs in the deal.

Easy to say when it’s not his pockets that the money was coming out of.

Not going to say any diffrent is he though. Not going to say I realised we as a squad had done well I wanted a move to earn $$$ and it was now or never as I was failing to get the best out of the players I had for 12months.

I don’t like what he’s done here. Doesn’t matter to me whether it’s true or not. No need to rake this up now, other than to further his own interests.

He’s entitled to say what likes - but I don’t think it’s necessary.

People abuse in him the street Hicksy. I've seen it. I think he's allowed to tell his story.

I agree obviously trying to paint a picture to enhance his chances of getting another job in the future which has took even more of a blow since bielsa has been playing mostly players hecky had avalible to him and has them top

Probably a bit of truth in here

    A bit of self preservation

    A bit of ********

Let’s face it the club ****** up big time in not signing up Hourihane et al.

Hecky did well in taking us up but looking back that squad assembled by erm Patrick Cryne was outstanding for league one..

    On we go.

I felt the same after reading it- I didn't find it particularly classy, especially given that he supposedly loves the club so much. However, he's now in self-preservation mode and I guess it is in his best interests to protect his name at all costs.

They did **** up not tying Conor down, but he’d have gone anyway once clubs like Villa started being interested. It’d have slowed it down perhaps window, but he’d have gone.

Suppose the question is, would keeping him and Winnall longer got us in the top six? We’ll never know

We didn't help him by not sorting contracts sooner, thus leading to him having one of the best ever Barnsley sides broken up, in record time. He didn't have to say players were signed without him knowing. That was obvious anyway as he won't have wanted us to sign about half a dozen similar midfielders for two spots on a starting line up.

When someone sells your first choice right back and replaces him with Callum Elder, replaces the most in form CM in the division with Alex Mowatt and replaces a one in two striker with no one, you've a right to feel aggrieved.

    There's more I could say but I won't.

Allowing for all the above that really shows then that he could only work with players already doing a job for us. Let’s be honest he was lucky he got the job at Leeds when we should have sacked him before that tbh.
