Who says you need to play 90 minutes? We have 3 subs and generally it’s the front 4 that are mostly subbed off.

Better a good 65 minutes than an average 90.

    He played well first half.

If I had a t-shirt with that on fair enough.

He was better today, but still a one half player & he left Williams exposed for the penalty. (Hands on hips in the background).
Put a shift in George xx

Played well first half and pretty poor second. Typical George.

Might be wrong but I'm sure he not only got a standing ovation from a large proportion of the crowd when he was subbed But he also won MOM so I suspect most fans felt is overall performance was better than some of the posters on here want to give him credit for.

Has he done something personal to you? He won the game for us today.

No, he played well first half.

As every game I've seen him play he then goes missing. Where was he second half & what was he doing when we gave away the pen just before half time (hands on hips in background)?
I don't want to bash a creative player, but he goes to sleep. That is why he has not started under 3 managers.
Pass for goal and 3 other moves were great. Sorry, put a proper shift in, like Brad Potts did on the other side. Showboating in L1?

You're right, he does. But he brings a lot of positivity to Oakwell too. Shocked that you can't acknowledge the positive aspects of his game. We'd have lost without George today.

    He played well first half.

We would have lost today if our defence didn't stay solid & Thiam hadn't fired in a third. Where was George in the second half? Sorry. I like creative players & I've hoped he could make himself a Glavin or a Redfearn. He can only run for 60 minutes.

I thought he played pretty well for the full 90 last week at Peterborough.

The daft thing is he can play the full ninety. As at Peterborough last week..But I do agree we were stale second half and I only noticed George second half when he was subbed. Constructive criticism is not a crime. If he played for the full 90 to his full ability every game, I believe he could be the closest thing to glavin I've seen. Strong statement I know. But hey.just an opinion like.

Hes one of them weird ones where usually the holding midfielder goes about his job unnoticed (Scowen, Doyle). On this case its our attacking mid who doesnt get noticed. The lad sets up a lot of goals. Sometimes his decision making is questionable but hes effective as hell over the cpurse of a match

Nonsense. Not many of our players did well second half, mainly due to the fact that luton changed shape and negated our attacking threat. Yet Moncur receives the flack. Typical.

He's our best player for me. Scores goals, creates goals. What more do you want from an attacking midfielder? It's no shock that every side we play they rave about him on their forums afterwards. He's not got a Josh Scowen engine, but Josh Scowen didn't have Moncs eye for a killer pass.

Yes sometimes he picks the wrong pass, yes sometimes he doesn't release it sooner. If he did everything he tries perfectly then he wouldn't be here, he'd be playing for a top championship side. What excites me is he's learning more and more every game under Stendel and I don't think it'll be long before he becomes a perfect all round player. What worries me however is that he's out of contract in the summer, and I'd put my mortgage on him being an even better player by that point.

Also congratulations to George and Chelsea who have found out they're expecting their first child. Chuffed for you both, cracking lad is George. Could that be a deciding factor on where he will be playing next season? Time well tell.

Congratulations to them. I'm sure he is a nice lad. Move for second goal was sublime. My frustration is people attacked Williams for the penalty & yes, it was rash, but Moncur can clearly be seen, hands on hips in the background. Potts bailed Cavare out, who was far more suspect today on a bunch of occasions & was far better over 90 minutes, as was Lindsay, who I thought was easily our best player.

No flak from me. George after Potts was probably our second best player on the day. There is no hiding from the fact that Potts remained effective throughout the game (even after Luton changed shape) and George did not.

George is enigmatic if he matched work rate to ability he wouldn’t be playing for us. Yesterday was a typical performance from him the good the bad and the indifferent. At this level he is a valuable squad member.

Lindsay’s reading of the game yesterday was different class, can’t remember a defender winning as many interceptions as he did yesterday

We'll have to disagree on the matter. You say no flak from me, then proceed to give him flak. He's clearly not as naturally fit as players like Potts or Mowatt but i saw nothing to suggest he wasn't putting in effort in yesterday.
