Only going on the highlights but how was Stendel the one sent off. Their guy barges into our techical area and starts pushing Stendel around - nothing on Video shows any retaliation other than trying to hold him off so how the F*ck does Stendel get the red and their guy nothing?
Truly ridiculous decision, but **** all will be done about it. How their man wasn't sent off for trying to break Dougall's leg is also a mystery. ***** referee.
Not seen that yet as its not on the highlights but Winkler was clearly unhappy with the ref on that one actually coming out and saying that it was clear that their player had only one aim to hurt Dougal and wasnt going for the ball and that maybe it was too early for the ref to show a red card though many referees would have done -also a thinly veiled suggestion that Shrewsbury intended to kick us off our game and we need to figure out how to handle that as some other teams will now be trying that tactic
I think you can because I seem to remember Hecky saying that he wasn't going to challenge his, which would imply that it is possible to do so.
Just watched the incident now. I guess the red card for Stendel was because of his reaction and shouting at their player. Not sure if that is red card worthy or not but possibly as they are trying to crack down on the whole respect thing. I fail to see how their manager didn't get a red though as he shoved both Stern and Stendel. Physical altercations should always be a red card, surely?
Stendel didn't seem to do anything wrong unless he said something.... Christopher Stern however did have a little set to with one of their players, I thought it was him that would get sent to the stand. Looked like he was having a word with the ref at the end of the game as well.
