I’d fetch him. Nothing against our current squad who are going to get promoted but I just really enjoyed watching him.
Josh got that bit of niggle that the rest of our team don’t have. Shrewsbury would have definitely got some back had he been on the pitch for us Tues night.
I remember watching him running rings round an apparent Superstar Sheffield Wednesday team at oakwell a few seasons ago and that was when we’d lost all of our best players. The lad would run all game and could play too. Could win the ball in his own half and carry it forward 60 plus yards. He’s wasted where he is currently
He's got a job near family, on good money, playing for one of the form sides in the league and could have a promotion to the top flight this season. The chances of him taking a pay cut, moving his life back up here, giving up the chance of ending up in the premier league and dropping a division for the privilege is so low I can't believe it's being spoken of.
I seem to remember his dad saying “put your money where your mouth is” towards the club, or words to that extent. That suggested to me that location wasn’t the main factor behind him leaving I can never fault someone wanting to better their careers but on this occasion, playing for a team you have an affinity with or sitting on the bench, I know what I’d do. Albeit short term
