Total waste of time. Sit there chatting. Rarely react to get the ball back early. Meanwhile our players are hurdling advertising hoardings to get to the ball.
Needs sorting. We are losing impetus time after time because the ball is taking ages to go back into play.

Ar but you wouldn't be saying that in the last 5 mins today, would you?

Agree - they should be made to sit on their own, spread out.

We lost quite a lot of time today where they were so slow to retrieve the ball.

Southend were slowing things up without these ball boys adding to it.

Stendel states he uses out of play time for player recovery. The ball boys will be instructed accordingly. Trouble is, there are times when we do need it back quick.

The ball boy situation has always been poor - so you don’t know if they are actually following the instructions, or being their usual selves.

They’ve been like that as long as I can remember. I don’t think it’s got anything to do with Stendel.

Think we need more than one ball in the ground

Does that mean Davies is a ball boy.

Oh I agree. But Stendel and the players have both spoken about the instructions for when out of play.

Like I say - they are slow anyway, so difficult to tell if the ball boys are instructed or not. Lol

Doubt it will be on instructions of club cos it's the stewards most of the time that throw the ball back cos the ball boy is practically horizontal!
