Southend came for a point and their game plan was to nullify and spoil the way we wanted to play. Southend worked extremely hard and were always closing down from the front, they weren’t a great team but worked hard. The reds stuck in there and got the late goal and result yesterday but it could have gone the other way easily.

Other teams will come to Oakwell and setup and play the same way so they need to find the way to unlock these teams and create chances with quality football

We did open them up brilliantly on one occasion first half but Potts put it wide. If that had gone in I think we may have won 2 or 3. Similarly if Southend had taken on of.the 2 or 3 great chances they had we may have lost. Small margins.

I don’t know about coming for a point. They were all over us the first 10 minutes. We ought to have been 2 down. Pinnock had a good game from the 10th minute onwards but he lost his man twice early on & any decent side would’ve punished us.

I think they decided to settle for a point later on but harsh to say that’s all they ever came for

Not sure that they were good or because we started so poor we were terrible 1st ten every man was. I remember poor control from bahre and the getting dispossessed almost put them in but their lad hit the shot straight at Davis. And a ball in and their man put it wide when he should of buried it not sure who to point the finger at that one I'll have to watch the replays. We were so deep though inviting pressure on ourself. 2nd half they should of scored also when Lindsay was caught out of position their man didn't pull the trigger. We had the best of the chances though blocks to stop Potts and thiam moore volleyed straight at their keeper do canio style and Potts blasted a great chance on the volly wide in the 1st half alone.
