I always thought I would take twenty odd 1-0 victories, but I honestly don't think I can take another fifteen games like yesterday. I think I spent most of the game chatting and the only time I got out of my seat was to go to the bog. I'm sure the manager had a vision of the type of football he wanted to play. I just hope it's not what we are seeing at the moment. He must have realised the players don't have the quality or fitness to play pressing football. I could have told him this in July. There is another problem I have - with the players. I don't feel any connection with the team as I can't get past the way they surrendered so pathetically last season. If this lot do get us up we will be a laughing stock in the Championship.
I don’t know whether you remember this. I posted on here a few weeks ago that Barnsley fans will only accept winning x attractive football. One without the other will NOT be accepted by the fans. I got absolutely slated for saying that. Every foooker is saying it now.
Last season has gone & hopefully lessons will be learnt , we cannot turn back the clock & all our efforts should be concentrated on the now & present . Our squad has changed from last season but I genuinely think we should worry about the championship when & if we get there , which is certainly not a given . I believe Stendel will have a big say in the shape of the squad going forward, but we do not know what kind of investment our new owners are prepared to oversee should we go up , until such times we can all speculate but I feel certain that the group of players that failed last season will have changed significantly by the time we kick off back in the championship.
It's because you post stuff that is absolutely bonkers at times and you know full well that you do, so the times when you post something half decent people see your name and don't take it seriously. You can't have it both ways. Boy who cried wolf situation I'm afraid.
Arsenal used to get slated for it. I don't think it is Stendel's intention to win by narrow scorelines but I guess he's having to make do with what he's got at the moment with an unbalanced squad. I hope they strengthen in January and hoping Woodrow forms a good partnership with Moore.
I stick by what I said about the Bristol Rovs result last week, seeing as it came after those two away defeats. It was a top result for us and with a clean sheet, and I dread to think what some people would be saying if we'd only drawn or even lost that one yesterday to Southend. In case any fans thought we'd just walk the league this season, we're now starting to see some teams get to grips with us a bit more and its not going to be an easy season after all. Thats why I will take these sort of 1-0 wins, if I/we have to!.
Who's miserable? Just saying what I see. Someone might be a happy clapper on here but be clinically depressed in real life.
To be fair I've never seen you post anything positive it's like you just look for negitiivity to share on here. Bet your a right laugh on a night out.
It’s called having a laugh. I’ve had this problem all my life - because I’m always laughing people think that I must be the village idiot. But there’s certain things yer just can’t laugh at.
Fair enough but it sounds too much like crying wolf after you failed to post contrary opinions after some of the excellent entertaining and dominant performances we’ve witnessed in previous games this season.
No it's just only you that finds it funny. There lies the problem. But i'm glad you've finally admitted it.
