Not the X Factor one haha but our lad on loan at Guiseley. Anyone watching Final Score on BBC2 well they are raving about him at game today
I was there and he played well although all the Guiseley team did. It was a crackiing game. Jabo Ibhere and George Maris both started and scored for Cambridge. Kayode came on for Guiseley and was hopeless. Still love him though
Nice interview with K.O. before the game ,though, in which they showed his winner against Chelsea and he still showed a degree of affection towards Barnsley...
A degree of affection!!! He somehow got picked eighty odd times. He ought to have a bloomin shrine to us with a massine, F**K off statue of Simon Davey the size of Christ the Redeemer in the middle of his front room!
As someone who advocated on another thread that all new players should be given 10 games minimum before being judged it was still obvious after just one game that if you put a banjo in Oddjob's hand he couldn't even find the barn door let alone hit it.
Not quite true. First few games he played for us he was immense. Then he seemed to lose his backbone. The games after the semi final as well he decided to turn up then.
Well, it's opinions. I saw him play for the first time in early September against Scunny and came away thinking he carried no goal threat whatsoever. Didn't even get into the right positions to score goals. I'm not claiming to be a great judge of a player but that was definitely my view after one game of KO. I know some people liked him right to the end though.
P. S I've just checked wiki which says he scored against Scunny. So maybe it was a different game I saw. Memory is a fickle bugger when yer knocking on.
I need biglil on the case here. I definitely think it was Scunny that I went to, I remember the day as it was very enjoyable for, errr, other reasons. I also remember coming away from the game thinking he was rubbish in front of goal yet wiki says he scored. I thought he'd squared the ball for Ferenczi to score the second. Maybe it was the other way around.
I thought he got into plenty of goalscoring positions. I can't think of a striker since who got into as many 1 on 1 situations as he did using his pace. It's just a shame he missed pretty much all of them.
Fair point. I'm just thinking back to my first impressions of him. I think my mind is still trying to heal itself actually.
