No!! The remain camp quite clearly laid out what would happen, what’s happening in fact but the zealots on the leave side labelled it “project fear” and all the leavers nodded along.
All this goes to show is all those remainers were so wrong when they say we are not ruled by the EU... It's just history repeating itself. When the EU don't like something a member state instigates, they force them to change their mind... Our country is dead, just a state of Europe from this day on... Unless, we walk away now!
Or give the people a second vote on leave with the deal on the table or no deal because option 3 has already been voted on. The option of the 3 you give splits the leave vote I wonder why?
And herein lies the problem. Froth. Debate is drowned by angry sensationalist frothing. It escalates with each side getting more and more hyperbolic, and the same thing remains... nothing moves, nothing is debated and no natural conclusions fall from the process. Chris Bryant asked a wonderfully sane question of the PM and got no real reply, just a typical pointless non answer. He outlined that May had ruled out a Hard Brexit, had ruled out a GE, had ruled out a 2nd referendum and the only thing she had on the table was accept this deal... which could be seen had intense dislike across just about every side and just couldn't get through the commons. Therein, why not speak with Brussels and see if more time could be bought to avoid the risk of the worst kind of exit. Sadly such rational discussion is rare, and it seems even rarer that its listened to.
Hardly, the only thing that may have prompted people to look at it as a joke is the way the government has allowed all these remainer remoaners to try and overturn real democracy.
I wasnt giving an argument for questions in a referendum Your second vote doesnt make sense either as all those who voted remain will have little choice but to vote for Mays deal if there is no other option But I would also argue there were many options for leave at the time of the referendum no one seriously suggested just leaving the EU with no deal in place to replace it - the leavers all said it would be a piece of cake to get a free trade deal so your argument is flawed anyway. The problem is that the "Red Lines" and lack of understanding of what is needed to separate us from over 45 years of integration has left us with a choice of **** deal or no deal - neither are any good for the country
So the way you unite a country, is to abuse people who disagree with you? Nice, theres a country over the pond just waiting for you to arrive.
Im puzzled by this statement -the key negotiators with Europe Davies, Raab and Boris are all Brexiteers - how is the fact they couldnt deliver a sensible deal the fault of the remainers its a bit like me telling you if you put your hand in a fire you will get burned your mate telling you it will be fine you put your hand in the fire and it burns - and its my fault
I think you’ll find it’s the government ministers who wanted Brexit and have most to benefit who seem to be disregarding democracy
Can't say I have ever abused anyone to be honest. Unless you have proof to the contrary, I suggest you retract that comment.
Real democracy is what we had. In a world where It's impossible to be up to speed with the issues of running a country as an individual you elect a representative to do that for you. He/she goes away and makes (supposedly) informed decisions on your behalf. We decided to throw that principle out with the referendum and appointed ourselves surgeons in our own heart transplant. Now there's blood all over the walls!
