apart from the pop and crisps cup and the checkatrade trophy ;) plus wycombe at home,we have the rest of the top 8 to play before 1st of January, season defining run of games, how many points do people think we will take and also should the cups be sacrificed to a degree to win these matches, let the under 23s get us through,my idea on points is 18 out of 24

16 from 8 will do us. It'll keep us on course for 92 points.

Can see us losing Sunderland next week. Pompey will be tight as will Blackpool and Luton away so calling draws from those three. We'll beat Peterborough, Donny, Charlton and Wycombe away. 15 points

I think we’ll do ok in nov/ dec with the so called higher placed teams .
It’s jan I think we’ll slip up with playing the so called lower teams .
I don’t know why I think that but it seems to be the Barnsley way

Reading the reports from most of our games up to just this season opposing managers in general regard us the best team in the division, so, the teams we have yet to play will set up to thwart our style of play, if, as I hope, Sunderland and Pompey play an open game then that would suit us and I would fancy us to turn them over.
I must say it's a nice feeling to have teams worry about us for a change

Sunderland and Pompey are critical for all kinds of reasons not least the fact that we’ll be able to judge ourselves against the main opposition. I’m glad both are away. I suspect they will be far more worried about our visit than we are about them.

Some exciting games for this level. Doncaster as always we will be up for with it being our first local derby at home of the season. Sunderland is another big game with the size of their crowds, league position and recent premier league history. Pompey will bring thousands to us as their last away game before christmas. Blackpool just before christmas will feel like a home game for us with the amount we will take there.

Peterborough on boxing day will be a good one after our thrashing of them away from home and our recent history with them. Charlton is one we owe from one of our poorer performances at their ground. Luton on new years day will be a sell out because the ground isn't big enough for what our demand will be. Plenty to look forward to in the next six weeks.

Sunderland away on a a Tuesday night will be tricky but I think the team spirit is really building so I'm hoping I'm proved wrong on that one.

    Doncaster (H) - Win
    Sunderland (A) - Loss
    Wycombe (A) - Win
    Portsmouth (H) - Draw
    Blackpool (A) - Win
    Peterborough (H) - Win
    Charlton (H) - Draw
    Luton (A) - Loss

14 out of 24 points, which I'd take, but we could really do with avoiding defeat to Sunderland to stop them pulling away from us.

Not sure why, but I fancy Sunderland to be our biggest win of the season.

well it may be down to the fact they can see we are a recently relegated club who retained many championship players
