Sorry my bad, nothing will come in or out of the country. We’ll all just die through lack of Mars bars and ibuprofen. China won’t bother trying, as it will be too difficult to get their cheap tat to the uk. And our shallow waters will see ships wrecked on the coast, with plastic waving cats floating in to shore killing the wildlife. Meanwhile business booms for toilet and shower stops just outside Dover... The World then stops spinning, and we fall off.
80m turks…. I think liar is a very fair word. As I said... whats the problem with an EU army? I'm curious to understand the inference its a bad thing.[/QUOTE] he said opening up to turkey would give access to 80 million turks, thats true,a bit like being in the eu gives us access to a market of 500 million people, they arnt all buying goods but some are,a bit like 80 million turks wouldnt come but some would i am against a eu army because we are in NATO with some very strong allies,i feel 100% there is no need for a eu army which could compromise nato because there are members of the eu that are nothing to do with nato,NATO is one of thee biggest reasons we have kept peace in europe,my views on this are well documented, compromising this is dangerous and not necessary and theres certainly no need to be in nato and be part of a eu army..I also feel a eu army is part of the german and french heirachy's efforts to form the united states of europe, which again is something i'm against. i will now ask you why you think members of the eu and certain politicians and political commentators over here said farage was a liar when he claimed a eu army was in the pipeline, why did they deny it knowing full well it was ?
Do you honestly believe a politician who says he would not compromise our legislation or morality to do a trade deal. Grow up. We sell arms to the Saudis to bomb the Yemen then salve our conscience by providing aid to the Yemen. As for the sovereignty of parliament, we have had a sovereign parliament since 1696. It's not stopped us doing the wrong thing for political expediency and dogma.
Don’t worry though... apparently issue number 1 isn’t an issue... The Port of Felixstowe Situated in Suffolk, the Port of Felixstowe is Britain’s biggest and busiest container port and one of the largest in Europe. If you’re importing less than a container (LCL) shipment from Asia then this is nearly always where we’ll have it sent to. Regardless of where in the UK your goods are to be delivered (or business is based), Felixstowe’s East Midlands location makes it well located to distribute your goods to wherever you need them. The port handles the equivalent of 3.5 million twenty-foot containers each year and provides some of the deepest water close to the open sea of any European port. Felixstowe runs services to and from 365 ports around the world. Felixstowe is the port most commonly used and will typically be where your goods are shipped to. Oh dear....
I'm particularly worried that the EU Army will be used to put down political movements in Member States....Jean Claude Juncker said in 2015 "With its own army, Europe could react more credibly to the threat to peace in a member state or in a neighbouring state," he said in an interview with German newspaper Die Welt. In 2017 Ursula von der Leyen http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/brexit-eu-military-planning-its-own-army-a7916371.html " One signal of potential direction of travel came last year when European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker asserted the EU needs its own army, a proposal welcomed by German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen, so Europe can “react more credibly to the threat to peace in a member state or in a neighbouring state”. These are two big characters both suggesting independently, but interestingly using exactly the same terms, that The EU Army could be used within the borders of individual Member States....terrorism can't be the issue as all Member States have their own anti terrorist branches working in conjunction with States both in and out of The Union. It begs the question what do they both mean...could it be to put down the Greeks that were rioting at that time, or perhaps the Catalonians who want independence, or a threat to the Poles who seem to be rather troublesome at the moment.
in your earlier post you seemed quite at ease with the current arrangements that are in place regarding food safety, the laws involved will have been passed and ratified by european politicians and commissioners which suggests you trust their judgement, the same trust you are not prepared to give to our counterparts even tho anything in the eu has also involved british influence. comparing arms deals with chickens? i'm not quite sure what to make at that, maybe you are slightly pissed after telling me we dont import beef from oz when we do. do i trust politicians no,not when in power but when they are in opposition their morals are higher so theres always a chance any dodgy trade deal that imports dodgy chicken will be booted out...maybe not ,maybe its part of the master plan to reduce the population like i say your posts alludes to you being at ease with eu politicians,do you trust this lot more than ours? from the tone of your rant you dont appear to have much trust in westminster
The beef we import from OZ is organic and complies with or food safety laws. This is not germane to us dumbing down our legislation to do a trade deal. Your puerile rhetoric is becoming tiresome and I have become bored at having a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
valid points,on terrorism, like you i do not believe the eu army has anything whatsoever to do with this unless merkel has plans to man all the borders and start doing proper checks to prevent the fcukin fanatics travelling at will throughout the continent , like you say theres a lot of unrest within the union and a combined force sent to keep them in check wouldnt look as bad as say merkel sending a few thousand germans to sort it out we have NATO to protect europe,i am very wary of the need for a eu super army
very clever, you need to check my posts again, the meat we import from oz is not fckin organic, its is mass produced but does not contain banned hormones..this arrangement will continue once we are free from the eu, i'm only becoming tiresome because i've got an answer to the tripe you have been posting, tripe that you think made you look clever.
But we were the EU. We had as much say over Germany, France, Belgium et al as they had over us. We were in a club, with club rules. No one ever says the EU is ruling Germany or France, but it was just the same for them, you give a little to gain a lot.
you are wrong rosco, every country i have been to on my travels has eurosceptics and people that do not like the thought of foreign interference,i've found the spanish and italians particularly to be like this. i've spent years touring on my motorbike and in my motorhome, well away from tourist hotspots and the feelings in general reflect those over here, counties imo are as divided on the issue as we are.
Sorry to egg you on and horse around but in the last ten years there has been three major Eu food scandals in westernised countries that trotted over these strict eu standards.
Felixstowe East Midlands , did you have the day off when they did geography at school. look on a map , its miles from the nearest motorway as well,
shut up flat head, lol, felixstowe is probably busiest port in uk and is only a hour and odd from midlands..have a run down and see all container wagons, suffolk and norfolk are full of em
My mam will die within 1-2 days of no insulin as she produces none at all. Your flippant response is insulting to people who are wondering if they may actually die a horrible, painful death in a few months time. She is given the correct amount of insulin she needs each month and so she has been trying to cut down tiny amounts each day, whilst telling the chemist she is currently injecting slightly more than she is so that she can hold a bit back. It's already having an impact on her life and she has no idea if it will be enough to live. As I say, long term, of course insulin will be imported but I don't trust that plans will be in place sufficiently for there not to be shortages in the short term.
I happen to have worked at Felixstowe dumbfook and its like driving to fookin china ,what do you drive a helicopter ,lol
listen pillock, geographically we are one of the smaller eu countries,a hour or even two hours on road freight is nothing compared to what europeans have to travel...i'll bet a knob like you believes the earth to be flat
The three major producers in the world have multiple locations where they make insulin, inside and outside of the EU. I suspect there will a very little issue in importing it from one of the many countries that it’s produced in.
