ok fookwit when the pound plummets and diesel is a weeks wage a litre ,an hour or two could bankrupt us
No mate, just got it from the main port list in the EU.... but clearly you and your GCSE know more. So it’s gone from impossible to being inconvenient. Make your mind up sunshine.
Which is why this bull needs to stop! No way will it happen. My response wasn’t flippant, it was sarcastic. Its the part of the remain camp that needs to get a hold of themselves. Spouting this nonsense so that your mum is actually taking these steps!
Without being callous, she’s managing to do that herself cutting back on her insulin. The world isn’t going to end in March next year.
Where did I say impossible or inconveniant I just pointed out that Felixstowe Is not in the East Midlands and is one of the ports in England furthest from any motorway , you don't need a GCSE to know this sunshine .
you are trying to educate a sparky pal, they think they know it all cause they can put a plug on a hoover...that long drive to felixstowe for mr smiff was hard work,he's used to being laid on a transformer catching up on his sleep
like I said earlier I have worked in and around Felixstowe the A14 is a nightmare , its always mentioned on the traffic news , travelling from Barnsley its like driving to China ,
I originally thought you were the poster saying that we wouldn’t be able to import due to the size of our ports. A simple google ridiculed this. I apologise for that. But you infer that it is inconvenient...”I happen to have worked at Felixstowe dumbfook and its like driving to fookin china ,what do you drive a helicopter “. Yet this is Britain’s biggest container port.., so obviously they disagree that it is like China.. whatever that means. Or maybe you mean it’s a fantastic route?
My reply you quote was aimed at another poster who is sharing a private joke with me , , I am well aware that its britains biggest port with regard to containers , but think you will find Immingham is the port that deals with the largest tonnage ,and Liverpools expanding its container port which is in a more favourable location , but I can confirm Liverpool is in the north west and Immingham is in Humberside (north Lincolnshire )
he said opening up to turkey would give access to 80 million turks, thats true,a bit like being in the eu gives us access to a market of 500 million people, they arnt all buying goods but some are,a bit like 80 million turks wouldnt come but some would i am against a eu army because we are in NATO with some very strong allies,i feel 100% there is no need for a eu army which could compromise nato because there are members of the eu that are nothing to do with nato,NATO is one of thee biggest reasons we have kept peace in europe,my views on this are well documented, compromising this is dangerous and not necessary and theres certainly no need to be in nato and be part of a eu army..I also feel a eu army is part of the german and french heirachy's efforts to form the united states of europe, which again is something i'm against. i will now ask you why you think members of the eu and certain politicians and political commentators over here said farage was a liar when he claimed a eu army was in the pipeline, why did they deny it knowing full well it was ?[/QUOTE] Farage whipped up frenzy that 80m turks were invading us (despite Turkey not meeting one single EU criteria for entry.. still). Just like UKIP did years ago when they inferred more people than were in Bulgaria were going to be in their communities with evil vile bigoted flyers at elections. I suspect the discussions have shifted because of Trump and his obvious want to pull the plug on any subsidy from the US. Without US support (and since Trump and Putin are of the same stock and the alleged Russian involvement in the election that Trump keeps trying to block, I can see Nato being reformed. To me it makes more sense with so many friends and allies to be more open and share and support each other. It's a very different place since the late 80s, and that's for a variety of things. Of course you have the rise of hate, fear and populism, which hopefully as current affairs turn to history will be shown to be nothing more than a final hurrah of the middle aged white classes unable to change to a more open world. But we'll all be gone when that history can be analysed.
I think that's taking project fear to a whole new level. Counteracting Russia, with less assistance from the US seems much more logical.
I'm a middle aged white man and I find the rise of hate fear and populism totally abhorrent. However, I understand what you are saying, I have stopped discussing politics with my contemporaries as apart from one chap there is an ingrained level of Little Englander amongst them. These are my friends and are genuinely nice people it's just that they hark back to a Barnsley from the 1960s.
"lose" "You're" Starting a sentence with "And" See, this is why you don't ask a Brexiteer to negotiate anything, because if you did the resulting document would be full of mistakes.
