Play your best team ffs against local rivals. If you lose against Sunderland 1 point from 6 not 3....stupid team selection.

    Bahre. Hedges. F.ck me.

Have to agree. He got it wrong today I am afraid. It happens. Woodrow should have started for one. Moore was pissing in the wind up front on his tod.

Tell you what that was a real poachers finish from Woodrow, he,s going to score a sackful of goals for us.

Agree 100%. Stendel is doing a great job but got it badly wrong today. Feared the worst when I saw the team.....

Disagree. I thought the 11 that started should have been more than capable of putting in a good shift and a plan to bring Woodrow, Mama and 1 other on in the last quarter to stretch their legs.. Can't blame DS for the individual errors.

Any team with Hedges in will struggle - can't even work out what position he's supposed to be

We aren’t good enough to rest players as if we’re Chelsea. It’s a local derby and for me we should play our strongest side.
We move on to Tuesday but it’s added pressure now that wasn’t needed.
If we pull off the win then maybe it’ll look a decent decision in the end. Let’s hope so....

Well we did a bit better than Chelsea in their local derby. Agree though I was concerned when I saw the team and hope Stendel knew what he was doing. Unfortunately whatever he was trying didn’t really work

Did we even ‘rest’ players? We’ve only played a 4-4-2 with Moore & Woodrow together twice up top & have regularly rotated between 4-4-2 & 4-5-1 all season. Also Hedges has spent a fair chunk of the season injured so for all we know Stendel could prefer Hedges to Thiam anyway.

I’d also say we played far better football today with 4-5-1 than 4-4-2. We were ripped apart numerous times in the last half hour. We did manage to score with 2 strikers on the pitch but that was from a set piece not from open play

Midfield out thought out worked and caught wrong side of the ball on too many occasions, Pinnock and Lyndsay once again shine .

Just shows the weakness of the squad, the midfield is still an area that needs some serious investment.

Alot of the time I think 451 has been forced on us we lost Bradshaw. brown and victor were u23s players untill this season and moore was injured also earlier on in the season. Stendel has had a tough season with injurys ect but I think he got team selection formation and subs wrong today.

Majority of this squad will never play above this level.... Unless we happen to get promoted and were still lumbered with em.

He gave donny the psychological advantages before a ball was kicked. I saw that team at two pm and said then he's dropped a ballack dropping Woodrow and five in midfield with five attackers on bench. Crackers. And to top it off there will be maybe three more changes tuesday now to make amends.

At the end of the season it's immaterial whether we won or lost at Sunderland. If we end up with 90 points wherever they come from it will be miraculous if we don't go straight up.
Play your best team and both your strikers at home to Donny and maximise the chances of 3 points then let Tuesday look after itself.
We're not good enough to pick and choose which games to play our strongest side.

Agree completely, he's made a mistake with the team selection here. Underlines the need to bring a striker and centre midfielder in Jan.
