Hi everyone, I know Google is only a tab away, but I'm hoping there's someone who could maybe give me advice based on their own use. I'm after a programmable thermostat that can be controlled through an app, turn it on while out and what not. I've looked around and struggled to find one that isn't in the price realms of Nest & Hive etc. Anyone know of a product that isn't as expensive or is paying the prices of Hive & Nest actually worth it? Thanks in advance.
Salus iT500. Funnily enough, despatched by a Dodworth company, but expect to pay around £80. Half decent brand too.
I’ve fitted 100’s of Salus controls and I find them very good for the money, they updated there range about 12 months ago and there superb imo, very user friendly and easy to use
I have a Nest thermostat and it’s ace. Really good and well worth the money. Had it 2 years and saves money on heating when you are not in the house. Really nice bit of kit.
Hive is rubbish....it loses the signal on a regular basis and the high tech advice is to take it of the wall pull the batteries out and put them back in...it works but it's a nuisance.
+1 for them. I was looking at Nest and Hive, and this company pops up and with the UK office been in tarn, I had to didn't I.
We've got the Honeywell Evohome system. From that we can control the temperature in every room independantly and the hot water. This can be done from a phone app anywhere in the world and, when linked to our Amazon Echo, can be turned on, off, up or down just by talking to it. It's the absolute dogs bowlecks
