    Its more on than promotion was at this stage of the season last time we were down here

    I dont think our current squad is good enough for automatic but if we are still in touch in January and make a couple of key signings and dont sell any key players its not something I am giving up on yet.
    Dont think we are favourites anymore now

    What does last time we were down here have to do with it? Do you see us finishing above Sunderland or gaining ten points on Portsmouth?

    Of course nobody's implying that - it's never good to lose. But I, for example, can be happy with the performance after a 4-2 defeat, just as you, or anybody else, can criticise the performance after a 1-0, 3-1, 4-0 win. Results are what matters in the end, but we can all make our own judgements about how they come about.

    the fact that we did it before - this time last time we were down here you for certain were not tipping us for a playoff place at the end of November
    Now you arent tipping us for an automatic place - I am saying there is a long way to go yet - we arent favourites but its definitely less of a lost cause than todays game was after 30 minutes

    Got a lift up to the match with some Mackem mates. They were highly impressed with us tonight. I was as well. They want Ross to buy Moore in January and reckon if they finish above us then they will be promoted.
    Some of our play was fantastic. 15 mins up to half time saw us batter them and should have scored at least one more. Stuck to the task in the second half and Sunderland were at a complete loss as to how to deal with our constant winning back of the ball and recycling into atttack after attack.
    Of course folk around me were moaning about how lazy Thiam, Cavare, Potts and Moore were ( yes, it beggars belief ).
    We got the bad end of two decisions: their pen and a clear handball from them in the area. We nearly got something out of an unlikely position. I knew we weren’t going to do it when Potts was subbed.

    I thought they stuffed us and thoroughly deserved at least 4-2. 6-2 would probably be more of a fair result. I think we've played well 3 times this season. I think people on this BBS are ******* nuts. I genuinely don't get it. I feel like I'm conversing with freaks. I really do.
