Showed some decent games. Worked well together with Hammill in a team that struggled in the Championship. He would've been fine in League One.

I never understood the McCarthy thing, he started the season well but understandably lost his place to Yiadom but then a load of fans tried to make out he was **** when his Dad moaned on Twitter he wasn’t starting. These fans then used one mistake when he came off the bench late in the season to scapegoat him for months whilst many other players get away with making numerous mistakes. He then got sold & I kept reading how he wasn’t good enough anyway & that Cavare was loads better even though Cavare had barely played for us & none of us had really seen enough of him to judge at the time. Strange one.
