When Kenny is fully fit does Mcgheehan keep his place.

    Do you play

    Dougall Mcgheehan
    Dougall Mowatt
    Mcgheehan Mowatt
Dougall Mcgheehan and Mowatt and drop Thiam or Potts.
Buy a new experienced DCM in January and play at the side of Dougall.

Its tough being a manager I bet.

McGeehan and thiam have been failures
Potts has found his level in league 1 and has put in some decent displays
Hedges , Isgrove , Cavare get rid
Invest in January are get ready for league 1 next season

I would imagine it would be Dougall and Mowatt. We were playing our better football and looking stronger defensively when it was these 2 earlier in the season.

McGeehan has had some decent games in there since Dougall’s injury though so I wouldn’t be surprised if they all play. Maybe push Potts up to right wing and either Woodrow or Moore to the left?

Mcgheen had a good game Saturday by all accounts and was great v pompey if he drops him after 2 good displays it would be very poor imo

I haven't rated McGeehan at all but he's improved now he's had a run of games.

Prepare for the worst (staying in League One) and build for next year is the wise move. This looks another nail in the Moncur coffin. And I'm disappointed, as there's a mountain of talent in that bloke! McGeehan seems to be more and more consistent, Dougall has been a revelation and Mowatt is our most important player. On their day we have one of the top 3 midfieleds in this League. It's that old Reds' chestnut again: "Consistency".

I'd go for the Mcgheehan Dougall Mowatt playing option with Kieffer Woodrow Potts up top in a Morais 433 formation

With 2 more defence minded players in Central midfield gives the full backs more license to get forward, Mowatt less defensive responsibility and less need for the front 3 to track back just keep playing the pressing game. I'm sure Dougall being in the team would have a more overall impact on the game than sporadic glimpses from Thiam. Mcgheehan would also play to his strengths as in arriving in to the box late and grabbing a few goals.

It stl leaves us with a strong impact bench and you never know Isgrove could comenack like the player we remember.

We are still suffering the problem of having too many midfielders who as a collective are all just ok.

Not one of them screams to be picked, I’d ensure we play to our strength by playing 442, leave Moore and Woodrow well alone up front then shoe horn wherever midfield 4 we have available.

It’s not an ideal situation but Mowatt and dougall in the middle of Potts on the right, then try and find a left winger, maybe McGeehan/isgrove/hedges/moncur/thiam/-an other

Surely we should be playing a Christmas tree formation at this time of year?

    Who will be the fairy?

That’s Potts’s game as well. Charging into the box to get on the end of things. Teams will be terrified of us if we can get Cam and Brad doing that in tandem

Lets get Dougall back to match fitness first - I doubt he will start on Boxing Day or Saturday but assuming he gets back to his best and McGeehan continues improving Id be inclined to play Dougall Mowatt and put McGeehan out on the left in the role filled by Thiam Moncur or Hedges this season

We're at home. Play all four in midfield
Potts, Mowatt ,. Dougall . Mcgeegan
Please let's not see Moore out on left wing any more.Lets not forget what Moncur did to Peterbro at their place either.

Was that same McGeehan who scored the winner on Saturday?
