That would be much easier than trying to accomodate them in the East Stand. A west stand with disabled facilities, a roof that reaches the gravel track, corporate boxes with seperate balconies, better media area, no restricted views and the players coming back out in the middle.

    Stuff of dreams.

The east doesn't have any restricted views does it?

Not as far as I know. Unless you end up with Brian May sat in front of you. Such a shame to see the eyesore that used to be the school behind the west stand, knowing what we could have done with that land if the club had bought it. Whoever owns it hasn't done a thing to it for years and so it looks a mess.

It's not the land we could have done with its the school itself. Sudha beautiful structure and it was just begging to be converted into club facilities

Well whoever owns it and has allowed it to turn into a mess and a eyesore should get on with doing something with it. Or Mr Lee could make a cheeky offer to them to take the land off them.

Where did I say it was? My point was aimed at the post about burning concrete at Grenfell- cladding was the main factor in that disaster not the concrete

Yes. But there are plenty of other issues with concrete structures regardless of cladding, that can let fire spread quicker than it is supposed to. That’s my point.

My response was to someone saying the West Stand was timber and East was concrete. I was saying it can spread just as quick in concrete structures too.

The incident dates back to before I met my wife of 40 years so who knows?. In any case the people present were all in their late 60s /early 70s so perhaps they had no idea how to/ or were afraid to release it.

The club should be able to move you while he has the pots on. when I had my season ticket a number of years ago I broke my leg and so was unable to get up the the upper tier to my seat. The club moved me and my dad down to the east stand lower on front row for a bit and allowed me access via disabled entrance.

Didn't this come up a few years ago. The club said it was an health and safety issue if I'm correct.

Putting concrete structures and building regs to one side, how did the lad do today? Did he have an enjoyable experience?

Check out the other thread on this, under the title GrandFatherTyke. He had a fantastic day. Some photos there too. He was so shattered at the end of it that he fell asleep in the car going home. All down to GG and the team performance.
