I don't believe we would offer Isgrove a new contract at this point given his injuries and lack of playing time.

Hedges- haven't seen enough of him to be too disappointed but he does have potential.

Moncur and Jackson are only squad players at this point so understandable why they wouldn't sign a contract (yet)

If you want a strong squad players of Moncur and Jackson standard need to be part of it. There are not many new players going to sign for the mighty reds as a squad player if we sign any they must be ready for the first team now or its pointless signing them.

Both players are capable of starting now, both know how we play, know their team mates and both capable of improving in the future. Got to offer them a deal they'll accept and keep the squad together and improving or we will have to spend big money on replacements which may end up being no better and we don't need anymore u23s development players at the minute.

Are any of these lads under 24 - could be that they’ve just been offered a pound over their current deal so we can get a fee

Could be wrong on this rule anyway

Not bothered about any of them leaving - apart from Jackson who has potential - Moncur may come good eventually but most likely he will not - waste of talent but there have been plenty of those down the years - he just doesn’t have the right attitude to make it in my opinion.

Best news in ages for me if Moncur fecks off. My offer stands to personally drive him free of charge to whichever conference club in the south-east will take him.

Would be sorry to see Jackson go as centre back is the one area we have properly covered with him around.

None of the four are first team regulars. Jackson is the only one of the four I would keep around. If we've offered contracts to the others and it's been rejected, I think we've dropped lucky.

Hedges, Moncur and Isgrove will be no good to us in the league we want to be in next season.

When did we offer Isgrove a new deal?

Jackson would be a loss as we do not have experienced back up .

Jackson would be a loss in my opinion. He needs a run of games but he looked a decent player to me last season.

Don’t blame Jackson. Easy option for him to sign - it shows a determination to play.

If Pinnock or Lindsey go though, he might end up signing.

Jackson the biggest disappointment. He had slow start to Oakwell career but has not put a foot wrong when called upon recently.

Moncur, has flair but needs to be more effective and perform more consistently. Very much the luxury player. But should be a match winner!

Isgrove and Hedges, should be the regulars in the starting XI but both struggle with injuries and fitness. Shame!

And, if they don't want to be here, let em go!

Moncur is great in situations where we're by far the better team and on top, but not where a bit of grit and graft is required. A player who only plays well in games you're going to win anyway isn't much use at all. I wouldn't offer him a contract unless it was very cheap.

Possibly his problem he’s always been in sides that are used to losing/struggling. Not sure if that reflects on him or not but interesting.

Right to move Moncur on. He has achieved nothing of note with us despite the faith of 3 different coaches and never will because you can see he's a CBA player. I care about him about as much as he cares about BFC.
Jackson is good enough to be playing regularly and if he thinks it's not going to happen with us then he needs to move on to progress. I'd wish him the best. If we kept him it would be good business but, career-wise, he'd be mad to stay without the promise of games.

Al 4 are good squad players and can make a difference when they come off the bench. Jackson is not too dissimilar to the lads holding the shirt in terms of impact so he'd be a loss. We need a strong squad so to lose 4 decent players would be a big loss in my opinion. No-one knows what they've been offered but I doubt their terms would have been improved because of the lack of games. I'm tipping they've been offered a reduced contract so there's no wonder they've all rejected it. No-one wants a pay cut and and most people would be up in arms if their employer did the same so all this "Bugger off if they don't want to play for us" nonsense is precisely that. They have their family's future to look out for and I doubt they would have refused a new contract if it had been more money or even the same money.

    I think you are right.

I'm sure Moncur with have some suitors, as will Jackson. Only Jackson I'd like to keep, as I could see us selling Pinnock to a top half Championship side in the summer.

Given their injury records I'm not sure about Hedges & Isgrove. I think they may have to drop further down the ladder, should they leave.
