Seeing as we all seem to be in a good mood, let’s have your views on Best Player after half a season.

I’ll start it with .... Alex Mowett. Reasons? A terrible start to his career with the club, which then went even further downhill (no disrespect to Oxford). This season his attitude has been first class; he’s a model of consistency, he’ll be the ‘go to’ player when it gets sticky and we need to really dig in. His tackling, distribution and reading of the game are excellent. He’s only made one really poor pass (I won’t mention Portsmouth. There, told you I wouldn’t mention it.) Moreover, he still recognises he is learning his trade and looks to improve his all round game. Ladies and Gents, I give you Alex Mowett, my Player of the (half) Season.

Ethan Pinnock is showing Lindsay how to defend and all on the wrong side of a central defensive two.We will have to turn bids down in January for certain

Mowatt is a good shout but I'd also make a case for Potts. He might not be the stand out player every week but he is consistently a 7/10 performer. He gives us so much drive and athleticism from midfield, something we need to play the way we do.

Kenny would get a mention too had he not been crocked by Shrewsbury.

Edit. Pinnock is also a contender. It's not easy picking one player this season.

    Can't pick one so I'll do a top 3:

    1. Mowatt
    2. Pinnock
    3. Moore

Special mention for Dougall who would've probably been in if not for his lengthy lay off

Mowett for me too, if Bahre continues on this form though he’ll get the second half of the season.

Ethan Pinnock for me rarely loses a header strong and good at timing tackles, comfortable on the ball able to play it out from the back with short or long balls. Played every league game and has been consistently good. Hope he is still here after the window but I'm sure his performances won't be going unnoticed.

Agree, Mowatt has been outstanding so far and is a real asset for us. Can’t believe how fit he is and the contribution he continually makes.

Potts for me. Consistent contribution. When he plays poorly so do we. The beating heart of the team.

Moncur. He’s only good for a half of a half season.

We have a few players “up there” to be fair. Mowatt, Moore, Potts, Pinnock. Without injuries I reckon Woodrow and Dougall would be 2 major contenders too.

    I’d go for Mowatt. Just.

Think Mowatt and Pinnock have been consistently our best players. Can see why Moore and Potts have been mentioned but both have had poor spells and both miss a few too many chances for me. As others have suggested, think Woodrow and Dougall will be contenders for the 2nd half.

Wouodve gobe for Moore but it's his inconsistency that lets him down. Mowatt so far for me. Davies has been good too

Can"t believe folk are putting Pinnock forward for this. No pace, misses simple headers constantly and has the concentration level of a 5 year old off his tits on Smarties (purely posting this in case scouts read the BBS).

Between him, Mowatt and Moore, no doubt.

DIFFICULT, the season is half way through, with so many ins and arts and injury's, i'm going to base my prediction on wot i've seen on the pitch, i'm assessing each player with the position he plays and on what they av or av'nt contributed. DRUM ROLL, R, U, READY, MY PREDICTION IS,

ETHAN PINNOCK without a shadow of doubt. PREMIERSHIP ALL ROUND QUALITY
