Sky Journo Peter O'Rourke says they are closing in on a deal for him. Be a shame for him to leave mid way through the season but i believe he can be replaced.
We won't sell unless we have identified replacements, we don't need to sell, we want automatic promotion.... 3 days into the window Potts to preston
Great start to January that would be. I really hope we resist any bids for Brad as he’s an important player for us.
What price do you put on an important first team player with 6 goals and 5 assists from midfield? Consider we don’t really need to sell either unless it’s big money
The Barnsley leopard seemingly has NOT changed its' spots. We will NEVER learn from our past transfer window mistakes.
Lets see what happens before we have a melt down, but hoping it’s not true. One of my favourites is our Brad.
I think its pretty much nailed on we'll sell at least one key player this window. Potts/Pinnock and Moore all up for grabs if the money is right and with a decent amount of contracted time left on them. If we can get significant money for Potts, I'd gladly sell him and use that to reinvest.
1.5 million they're reckoning. For me is only look at selling in the summer once we know where we are. I still think we'd get the same money but give ourselves a good stab at promotion.
If that’s the correct price then we should be telling them to do one,It should be closer to 5 million. We can’t let ourselves get shafted in a January transfer window again and still expect the season to produce any positivity
If it is true, it would seem that the Owners actually Don't Want Promotion up to the Championship. Why would that be I wonder unless they are simply interested in turning a quick buck or two just like Barnsley management have done since as long as I remember (1956 my first visit to Oakwell). It is just so predictable and so bloody frustrating-we build a good team and then wreck it for a few quid--it's like the fans count for JackSh1t.
According to Alan Nixon it's unlikely. He says we're asking for big money and not encouraging them to bid again.
Having watched the Sunderland docu series I don't know why a player would choose to go to a struggling side from a winning one.
