Nowt changes. No real ambition. Sell your best players regardless of your own predicament. New regime and CEO.,no better than its predecessors. Pull the rug from under the new head coach. Supporters will put up with it. Give them the same old tosh to keep them quiet.

Yep been watching them for 50 year so seen it all before. Don't get me wrong I wish it wasn't so but it always has been like that. I am as gutted as anyone at Potts transfer but I suppose I should have half expected it. Let's hope he is the last one this transfer window but don't hold your breath.

Relax. We will have a replacement lined up and made good profit by the sounds. Saying that it’s a club record fee by Preston so happy with that. He’s been a key player this year but definitely isn’t Championship standard.

Gets knocked off the ball too easily and has zero skill. I’m sure with that kind of money we can buy much better

Me too. Potts is a big loss and our billionaire owners don’t really need the dosh do they?

But I’m sure we’ll cash a few more in for chump change before the window shuts.

Can’t believe we didn’t bring Hammill in either.

I’ve done 46 years service and it’s all too familiar.

    Genuinely hacked off.

Very disappointed as Potts was a real asset for us in this league, a bit of a talisman so hope it doesn't cost us. Will miss him.

And that's one if not the main reason why we will never get the fans flocking back unless it's Wembley or the Premiership. They know what's coming same as us diehards but we just go along with it.

We've always been a selling club ever since we turned professional. That's just the way it is. There is a clue in the official statement. Doesn't it say something along the lines that the sale secures the short term viability of the club. We do not make enough money from ticket sales, commercial activity and other income. How much did Patrick Cryne fund us for until we made a few big sales. In the 60s we almost went bust when we ran out of saleable assets. John Dennis's regime went down the pan when the ITV Digital income disappeared unexpectedly leaving the club with an unsustainable wages bill. It is, however, disappointing that our owners do not seem to want to take risk with funding to focus on promotion.

I personally think the strategy is bonkers and the best way forward is conway and chien lee paying better wages and being clever getting out of contract players for smaller fees.

If they have, why didn't PNE buy him instead?

To be fair you could ask the same question when Millwall came for Bradshaw and Woodrow was right under their noses at Fulham

What really annoys me is that why did they not wait til the summer? At least then we could have given ourselves a chance at promotion before we sell off the better players. As I said, I think it speaks volumes for the commitment of the new owners. The new owners have let the fans down and coloured the views of many fans as to their true ambitions in the long term for the club
'we won't spend silly money' NO but you will accept it. I hope by the end of this transfer window we haven't sold any more of our better players, cos the fans will vote their feet when it is season ticket renewal time.
