Relegation to the third division cost us far more than they saved not strengthening in January but they were happy with that too. Still, nice shiny billboard at the other side of the world.
How come its only us thats shitting themselves when the window opens? Listening to radio Sheff on the way home, never mentioned with the Sheff U fans about losing players - they're punching above their weight in the top 6. Spent a lot less than most teams up there and probably paying a lot less. Same with Donny, a point behind us - any speak of Marquis or anyone fron their squad? Bizarre.
We’re 3 days in. They may well lose players yet. If this turns out to be a Bradshaw/Woodrow deal then nobody will be complaining. I’ll wait to judge until we get a replacement in, which I’m convinced we’ll have lined up. Potts has had a decent season thus far, but hasn’t been an outstanding performer. Below average when you consider the performances of Pinnock, Moore, Woodrow, Davies, Dougall and Mowatt. I’d be much more concerned if we were losing any of them. At least 6 better players in our starting 11, there’s debatably more.
The first year as owners wasn't great and the second has started poorly. Nervous times. Intentions etc.
And the main question is what the **** do I do with my 2019 BFC calendar now that January's player has only lasted two and a half days?!?!
Yeah me as well. Find it very weird if we've turned down more money for Thiam than we've accepted for Potts.
Amazed at the reaction to losing an average League 1 player 2 days into the window. If we don't replace I might be worried.
Potts has been an important player this season. We are 4th and trying to chase down the top 2. Weakening the squad isn't helpful.
It's what happens though. Every season. To most clubs. Why should we be surprised? I'm just glad it's a position we can cover, and we have time to adjust.
Let's not pre judge the manager and owners. They most probably have irons in the fire and the sale money will strengthen. Getting what they have in mind Stendel and Winkler are not stupid and will have talked about the situation with chief exec. Let's see what happens next. If nothing happens then I will fully support all the rants full stop Up the Reds
No. His debut was awful. Worst ive seen a BFC player. Many games he ran like he had lead in his boots. I’d say most of his games in the Championship were poor. Id also say most of his games this season were ok, and some were good. A couple were great. Some not good at all. I like Potts. Im not bothered too much if he leaves. I’m definitely ok if the price is 1.5 million.
