Just thinking about the January transfer window and in my opinion it benefits the top few and the wealthy clubs not the likes of Barnsley and it's business strategy.. Why do we really need it from a football perspective would it not be fairer to say a week before the season starts the clubs have to name a squad of perhaps 30 and a manager and that's it. No matter what happens until the end of the season no additions or managerial changes..

So no opportunity to promote improving U23 players during the season, No chance to do anything if 2 key players get long term injuries, no chance to replace a manager who has completely lost the dressing room, is taken ill, found to be taking bungs etc.
I don't think you have thought this through

I'd say scrap it altogether and go back to transfers all year round. It's the life blood of lower league clubs. Plus the one month window just leads to panic buying.
