    Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but Brad comes from the north west (Carlisle), played for Blackpool and, for all we know, still lives over the Pennines. It therefore made perfect sense for him to go to Deepdale. I'm sure he is pleased as punch to be going there. He'll be playing at a higher level, for at least half a season, and is bound to be on a lot more money.

    The Blackpool fans, however, will have even more to grumble about.

    Of course he did, that goes without saying. The club should have said "No, we'll consider bids for you in the summer", when there's that much contract left.

    Yes - I tend to agree with you. If he had the release clause and wanted to go - then it's not a reflection on the club's ambition or policy - it seems like they got a good amount of money for him, so let's say "Thanks, Brad and goodbye" 4 - 4 - 2 and ? on the wing? Need a new song

    My mistake. Born in Hexham but his first professional club was Carlisle. I had it in my head that he was born there.

    Exactly. Even if they haven't been doubled he will be getting a good pay rise and hefty signing on fee. The wailing and self-flagellation that goes on here whenever a player leaves is laughable.

    Good God- these are footballers, not lifelong club legends. He's moved on, and so should we. Or maybe we should all chuck away our season tickets and forget the whole thing, especially if we are out of the cup tomorrow afternoon.:rolleyes:
