    Just one correction btw. His shop was in Cudworth. I know cos as a nipper I bought all my Subbuteo stuff from there.

    He had a shop in town Hough and Midwood I remember it was 1960 or 61 I bought a Dartboard from his shop with the proceeds of my Carol Singing money.

    I never saw him play but was in awe as a youngster when my dad took me to his shop up the top of cudworth.
    I got a kit for my birthday from there.
    From what I remember it was near where Batterham’s chip shop used to be.

    There was a chippie near but I thought Batterahm's was at the top end of the village.
