From what I have read in my time on this board what you know about football could be written on the back of a very small postage stamp. The only reason that I don’t simply block you is because occasionally your opinion make me laugh out loud.
I bet with Thiams recent goals and performances it's not the end of teams bidding for him this transfer window. I would love to see the concensus on here whether he was any good or not and if we should turn down all offers, is Thiam one of our better players would we miss him? Or snap whoever hands off for a couple of million. If he does go it's another tick in the spreadsheets box.
Brad Potts was arguably our best attacking midfielder. The point is - we didn’t need a replacement for Potts - what we needed was someone as good as or better than Potts playing along side him. As I said yesterday - you don’t throw the baby out with the bath water - after being told by the missus that she’s pregnant again. It should be that we are adding to our better players .......... not replacing them. Spoiling the barrel for a penny worth of tar. Skinflint tactics by the new owners.
Good player, improving all the time. Obviously not the finished product or he wouldn’t be playing for us. I think he is worth keeping for a few years at least.
Yep. He was *****. Yet Thiam's record is worse. Oh dear. Bit poor on your part to criticise one player to defend another. Not what I would expect.
Thiam's record isn't worse. I do criticise, mildly, the occasional player. I never hammer them week after week though. As for Odejayi, he's long gone. I'm sure he tried his best but he was appalling and the real criticism should be of Davey for keep picking him.
Why do we have comparisons with Odejayi? - He doesn’t play the same position - He doesn’t have the same physical attributes - He’s nothing like the same type of player - He’s not missed any sitters yet, nevermind one of same magnitude as Odejayi at Wembley ... so why?
