Daft as it sounds, I was told he was finishing his current role in Feb and would be spending more time here after that.
I don't wish to our scorn on that Gally, but he's probably earning way more over there than we're likely to pay him even if he is an investor!
But once you get to a certain level of wealth, it’s not all about the money... sometimes it’s about the glory and the movie deals.
Hes just recently re-signed to extend his contract there. https://www.mlb.com/news/as-sign-beane-forst-melvin-to-extensions/c-299930466.
You just missed liberal use of the abbreviation ‘GG’ and a couple of ‘foookin’s for good measure. Otherwise, hats off.
A highly thought of ex-footballer would lift the profile of the club. Are you suggesting that ALL footballers are thick ??? Because I’m sure there would be a few ex-footballers capable of doing a decent job while also lifting the profile of the club - better than what has recently been done.
The profile of the club is the best it's been in the last 20 years. Plaudits both on and off the field. Would rather have GG than Mansford. In fact I'd rather have genital warts than Mansford.
I agree with that. I’m suggesting he employs someone with a higher profile that talks to the media more than what Ganaye has done. And as I’ve said - the only CEO I have seen at the club that was able to generate and promote interest in the club was Mansford.
Someone I know in France, originally from Sheffield and having expressed no previous interest in football, sent me a link to the article about GG's letter to Chris Ryder re: MIND and was very impressed. Similarly with the club's involvement with the "On The Ball" campaign. It seems to me that GG has done a great job of raising awareness of the club and improving its perception.
Hypothetically speaking could Nice compensate us X amount of millions to increase the revenue on our books to get round FFP etc? Not saying thats whats happening, just wondered if its possible.
Hmm. These will be things brought to GG's attention by media, marketing, PR staff below him I imagine. Granted he has to roll with them, but I don't think such acts will disappear if indeed he does
I'm sure you are right, @Spider's post just reminded me as I didn't think I'd seen it mentioned on here that he was going to get more involved come feb.
Should we be looking at the recent change in Robert Zuk's role? He was Finance Director under Patrick, but recently became Finance and Operations Director. Barnsley lad, been at the club a while and from what I've seen makes a lot of day to day decisions while GG looks after the player recruitment and contracts side of things.
Aren't those people operating under the direction of the CEO? I'm not saying they'll stop if he goes but it seems unfair to not give him credit for them happening during his tenure.
I cannot see anything wrong with that statement whatsoever. Unless of course she is your mother or sister - or indeed a gummy munter.
