Why is anybody surprised by this woman's abject failure. She was the Home Secretary that gave us Windrush, scrapping terrorist control orders, cutting back the Police and telling her own conference lies about an asylum seeker being granted leave to remain ("and you couldnt make this up" - except she did!) to be with his cat. She called an election when she had no need, ran a disastrous campaign and even the signage gave up on her at her conference speech. I think the only realistic option is for her to resign (she won't though) and somebody -anybody really - just a change of face and perspective to go back to the EU, ask for a month's extension and try and renogiate something. I heard a German MEP saying Ireland should have been removed from the deal altogether and left to sort between us and Eire as its a special case with a specific treaty. The EU are good at kicking cans down the road and may go for it

Absolute waste of time from Corbyn, a bit of a d@ck move. Not going to achieve anything other than distract from the pressing matter of Brexit deadline day,

Corbyn trying to force a general election is like a turkey voting for Christmas.
Mays already said she won’t stand so if the Tory’s pick anybody half decent,Labour will lose because the majority of the country won’t stand for the loony left and we will likely end up in a similar position.

What did you expect? You are blaming the wrong person mate. Teresa and her cronies had every chance to sort this out, she chose a GE, she chose 3 Brexit ministers who all quit, she refused to listen to anyone from any other party. Kier Starmer received how many phone calls?? None!!

I have always thought JC is a closet Brexiteer (well he was out as one in the 1970's, 80's and 90's). Prof. Hennessy (Constitutional Affairs at Oxford) said today Brexit throws up a rift in our politics. It is not a left v right issue but we have a left v right divide in our parliment and in our press, so we never get down to the real issues and have a proper debate

It is partly, any decent Labour leader would have a united party that the country could get behind.
Fk me this is the worst government for years taking them down should have been piss easy

‘Deal with Brexit’ is that an admission from a Brexiteer that Brexit is a shambles? Not only does Corbyn give a dam, he gives a dam about the greater populace unlike the selfish, smug feking Tories.

How can you unite a country or party when 50% of the party voted to leave or remain? Normal politics have gone out of the window. Any politician who stands up and says fcuck it I’m cancelling the whole charade would be out of a job pretty quickly but it would be fantastic and funny as watching the gammon who keep repeating leave means leave without having a clue what it means!

Agreed, left v right traditionalists are torn between leave or remain. The tories should be strung up for the whole charade.

Unfortunately, while ever we have Politicians and politics that hold a desire to dismantle our NHS and other Public services, and genuinely believe that the many in this country should serve the few, we will always have right and left divide.

    Can't blame them for that.

I'm not saying we shouldnt have that divide in our day to day internal politics. I was saying I tended to agree with Prof. Hennessy that approaching the EU/Brexit debate from that angle doesnt get us anywhere. If it wasnt so sad, it could be funny that we have one party led by a remainer who feels she has to be a brexiteer and the other led by a brexiteer who feels he has to be a remainer. to satisfy the more goggle eyed extremes in their own parties. Perhaps with more honesty we might be getting somewhere
