Think about what you’ve put there Marlon, this government is the most unpopular in memory, hardly any redeemable points, and yet Corbyns Labour party have hardly laid a glove on them! If you think that’s down to the right wing press far enough, but I can tell you it’s not. A decent Labour leader ( someone like John Smith) would have sailed to power. The current shower, not a cat in hells chance
I agree with the ideology of what you say, but what happens if that happens, leave wins and Parliament reject it again?
So people keep saying but without any foundation whatsoever . If anyone thinks a Labour govt is worse than this lot then I despair . And the tabloids and media go along way into spreading the lies and inaccuracies.
So if leave won again, MP’s wouldn’t have to ratify the result? Even though a court ruling has made it compulsory. What happens if leave win and Parliament reject again?
If all these proper and moral issues have been dealt with I would think not one MP would go against a proper people’s vote. The only reason it is challenged now is because proper due diligence and procedure were not taken.
With the rise of nationalism across Europe and the EU why on earth would anyone want to be part of it? and a question -- if we end up with no deal who would be responsible for that?
It’s well documented though that most MP’s believe leaving in any form would be bad for the UK in general, I would like to think you are correct(and should be). In reality I can see the end result being announced that due to no agreement with Parliament the Goverment have no choice but to revoke. Resulting in everybody pointing and blaming each other.
No, the media have switched the narrative once again to Corbyn and people will fall for it again, see a recurring theme here?
Well that could happen tbh as it’s up to Govt to delay or revoke article fifty before the deadline . Parliament could have a say in it if emergency measures were voted on which parliament and not the govt were in control . But no doubt about it it’s a mess of biblical proportions which is why it needs stopping . Debating with proper facts and consequences a format agreed of what we will leave on and then putting back to the people with a complete deal or stay imo
Think about what your saying NYR your putting someone’s proven appalling record in govt against what you might think a labour govt would be .
I’m not sure it can be viewed any other way... seeing as he’s not following the government recommendation, and despite supplying confidence publicly, is undermining and disagreeing with his votes, and of course, his attempt to unseat the leader previously. So to personally say 2 votes was the best option, now to decry any attempt for a public ratification, that’s hypocrisy with jam, and a cherry on top.
They wouldn’t reject it. A clear mandate would have been given and they would ratify it accordingly. The first vote was leave... not how or what it entailed. It was like someone officially telling me I have to leave the house. Then not being sure If I’m allowed to leave by front door, back door, being thrown out of a window, digging a tunnel or breaking through the room and being airlifted.
The govt would be responsible as no one else up to now has authority to stop it. How can you blame EU for rise of Nationalism? The Nationalists by nature are against A union . There has always been nationalists movements in almost every country some of these are exclusionistic (made up word I think) and feed on populism to gain recognition as some have very ideological and hate filled agendas . I don’t include the Scots nats nor Catalonia and a few other decent nationalists parties in that category .
That is suggesting that there is some legal basis that The People's Vote campaign is based on...which as far as I'm aware is not correct . The simple fact is that the founders of the People's Vote campaign aims were to secure another referendum on the final deal...No suggestion of legal prejudice.
The lot of them are into telling the most believable lies they can to the British public whilst feathering their own, already plush, nests. You can’t get a cig paper between them
Am voting anarchy next time, this brexit fiasco has just proved what a fook up this parliament arselicking, palm greasing game is yet once more.
But it’s the same story of any labour leader and it’s the same story of people coming out with “I can’t vote for him and it’s not because of the media stories” aye alright . Blair got it to an extentt but he was mainly Tory anyway so their offshore accounts weren’t threatened . Wilson got it , Brown got it Milliband got it in fact I honestly know someone who couldn’t vote for him because of the bacon sandwich farce. There’s always some who have an excuse but if you can live with your conscience of letting in for another term this rotten lousy greedy incompetent for the rich Few govt I hope they get what they deserve .
