Then the international courts, EU, UN or summat, should determine the rates. Most giant companies don't pay their tax anyway so it's no loss.
Or get it back in public ownership.

I think you can take it from the replies that, despite media scaremongering, there aren't any ;)

Well i’ve given it five hours since my original post and my conclusions are:
    - Posters struggled to answer the question.
    - There’s a trust issue but that’s not what the question was about.
    - there are a couple of genuine disagreements with policy, tax rate being one, but that doesn’t seem to suggest the State is about to be overthrown.
    - what constitutes ‘left wing’ to some posters wouldn’t even count as Social Democrat in most other Western societies!
    - although it’s clear from its recent campaigns that no one listen’s to the Daily Mail any more, there’s still a welcome to be found in the hearts of some on this Board.

    It’s all Mrs Thatchers fault!

Thank you all. Now onto Wimbledon. COYR.

Sorry mate got to jump in there. Don't leave it to the EU. they have set up their own tax haven in Luxembourg which allows big companies like Amazon and Ebay to pay corporation tax on intellectual property earnings at 5.5% (The european average is 20% - ours is 19%) a chunk of which gets kicked up to the EU. Hence their European earnings are effectively transferred to Luxembourg and they dodge paying taxes that could fund teachers, cops, nurses, rail programmes etc. Ever wondered why they are incorporated in Luxembourg

Quite easily you commit to requesting an extension of article 50. Only idiots and JRM think it’s a good idea.

I wasn’t aware they were party to cross party talks on Brexit or how it’s relevant to Brexit.

How does extending article 50 take a no deal Brexit off the table ?

It does eventually. Your starting point is that you carry on negotiation until you reach agreement. Corbyn is following party policy agreed by conference.

    Rubish.
Take a no deal Brexit of the table and Corbyn will get May over the line with a Brexit that will unite the country, if not the bigoted DUP and the minority rabid right wing Tory's.who every knows are there for the own gains and nobody gives a toss about them will lead this country into the dark ages.

I keep popping back to see what policies have been mentioned and so far banning fast food ads before the watershed is as extreme as it gets

For the number of posters criticising him from "un-electable" to absolute hatred (due to a belief of media spin) I thought there might be a few more examples......unless there aren't any extreme policies really when you look as opposed to believing all you read/hear.

The fact is, the vast majority of mainstream media is Tory owned/biased. Including the BBC.

That is why, the main talking point of Question Time last night was how bad Diane Abbott was. Referring to her stupidly suggesting Labour weren't miles behind in the polls. Derided she was, as usual. It was lapped up by the audience there, and at home/online etc. Backed by the BBC's new host of the programme, Fiona Bruce who shouted Diane down so many times, it was embarrassing to watch.

FWIW, Labour aren't miles behind in any poll. In fact, they're not down in the majority. They're up in fact.

But the Tory media got out what they needed, and the nation's fcukwits (there's so many) now believe it.

It's clever stuff. Like labelling Corbyn a terrorist sympathiser, or anti-semite, or IRA supporter.

The Nazis and other evil chuffs rose to power via the gift that is media and propaganda. Look at the cnnut in the White House.

The world, politically, jumped the shark a long time ago.

    **** show.

I'm bored of trying to big up the sensible, kind and reasonable opposition, it's futile due to the overwhelming amount of fcukwits I share this planet with.
