I don't think it will really mean anything in relation to isgrove will it? He's injured anyway or at least I assume he is as it's not the 38th of March
According to a story in today's Yorkshire Post: "Green will not be involved in today’s game at struggling AFC Wimbledon, which will represent the Reds’ first visit to the Kingsmeadow Stadium – where they will be backed by a sell-out allocation."
I'd imagine he will be infront of hedges who's days are probley coming to a end here. Isgrove is permanently injured and I wouldn't be surprised if we never saw him start another game shame though because he is a decent player at this level.
I wouldn't be so sure! I have stopped trying to second guess the team as there always seems to be at least one "surprise" Which I think is great, as that means the opposition won't have a clue what or who to expect either
Chronicle mentioned trying to loan Isgrove out. Would prefer both to be sold, preferably this month and get in another winger. No point hanging on to league one fringe players if we are looking to bolster our squad hopefully for the league above.
It's sad but I think Isgrove is done here so I'd think the new lad is already above him in the pecking order.
Can't see much of a future for either of them really. Especially if we went up. Isgrove has another year so be hard to move him on, when does Hedges contract expire?
I’m not ready to write either Hedges or Isgrove off. Hedges showed last year in a few cameos from the bench that he carries a real threat driving forward with the ball at his feet. Not done much when given a chance this time but the same was being said of McGeehan just a few weeks ago who is now obviously playing to his true ability and with confidence. Get Isgrove fit and we have the equivalent of a major new signing in my view. He was an outstanding member of the promotion team, a tenacious dynamo who contributed much going forward and seldom gave the ball away. I don’t subscribe to getting on the backs of players who are unlucky with injuries as Isgrove has been since his return. It would be helpful to be given more and clearer information from the club about his injuries, including updates as to his likely return to fitness. Good luck to both players who still have much to offer Barnsley FC.
Nobody is getting on their backs are they? When Isgrove came on against Portsmouth he got excellent support, as does Hedges when he plays.
I'd love nothing more than for isgrove to be fit from now to the end of the season. I also really like hedges
If he is fit but not being selected, then time to cut our losses. Give Izzy the chance to start again elsewhere and again, use the financial resources he is eating up on another player.
Surprised at that thought he would have fitted into stendels high press perfect. I think attacking wise thiam has more to offer than isgrove or hedges though.
We can't keep holding on hoping Isgrove may get fit sometime soon. I do feel for the lad but the club isn't a charity. Look at his career and he's hardly played, maybe he's not physically up to playing professional football. He will be a big earner in our squad and we have to consider FFP. IMO we will give him the rest of this season to see if he we can get him fit and playing on a consistent basis, however if not i'd fully expect us to agree a severance package for the remaining 12 months of his contract. Can't say I'm bothered about Hedges, don't think he offeres us much...
Don't ya listen to interviews or read papers. It's a full strength squad barring walton and bahre. For the record people slag moncur off for contributing nothing in thirty months but I've yet to see what hedges has contributed in almost three years barring a decent hour against forest last year. Get shut.
