correct - they need to win what I described as middle England you are correct st in your view that labour will struggle to win over a large amount of conservative areas - that is why they need to replace Corbyn, maybe with David Milliband if they can get him back into Government - these Tory areas will never vote for someone like Corbyn who is at the end of the day an old school socialist - they will, as has been proven in the past vote for someone who is middle to right ground as Blair was - couldn't stand the man myself, but he could spin the story to appeal to Conservatives
That may be true, but if you've got someone to the right of the party, is there any point? OK, it might be diluted Tory policy, but we'd still be heading to the right of centre.
I think David Milliband is more middle ground tt - not as far right as Blair - but it is the only way Labour can get into power imo - they have no chance with Corbyn - the only other way is if the Tories split over whatever happens in Brexit and form a breakaway party
Blame the media. Not the fact that Mr Corbyn is currently acting like a child. Asking for something that can’t happen or he’s not going to talk. He’ll talk to terrorists, but does not want to be involved in uk politics. Plus Ms Abbott getting tied in knots in a live debate... again. Today’s media is more open to misinformation from all sides. The fact that labour are only just level in the light of current politics is damning evidence to support Corbyn leaving. Labour will always be the party in Barnsley, however even here, I’m hearing more and more that they are seriously considering not voting, or somebody else...! However if you want to stick your heads in the sand on the hope that I’m wrong, stick with JC.
Indeed, Jeremy mouths (not say) “stupid whatever” & it’s major news - Boris says This will be a good holiday destination, once you’ve got rid of the bodies - very little. Not to mention whistling for their money (& burkas/postboxes)! It’s then just Boris being Boris - the man is a loon!
So how do you know about it then? It was all over the media both social and mainstream. But Boris is not the leader of an opposition party. Neither is his party still struggling despite him being in it. I personally don’t know how anyone could stick up for either of them. They are both liabilities!
I'm not that keen on David Milliband, but I do like the sound of Keir Starmer ... or even Emily Thornberry. Perhaps we need to be looking at that sort of person were Corbyn to step down (which I suspect he will this year).
That’s fine but the rabid press were all over Corbyns “mouthing” but not the pantomime rant of Mayhem with her shouting “look behind you!” - some may think it’s amusing but she’s the PM and, in her own situation, should hardly be telling someone else of Look Behind You. I agree about Diane Abbott being labour’s liability- elsewhere, I’ve described her as Jeremy’s Achilles heel.
The look behind you comment is exactly the kind of thing that happens regularly in the commons from both sides during PM Q’s. She looked deranged when she did it, but it couldn’t be taken as offensive. The rabid press has less and less influence over the general public. So, back to the main posters post, how can you not say you want rid of JC? Labour should be well in front, and with anyone even half decent.... they would be!
It would be exactly the same under any leader ofLabour party Look at what they are saying and accusing in depth and there isn’t any truth in it whatsoever. Every labour leader get ten times more scrutiny and exaggerations thrown at them than any Tory leader . Just think about what would have happened to a labour if he had overseen this shambles of negotiations and had broken records for parliamentary defeats and throwing away a majority and having to be propped up by Fekwits with policies from the middle ages . Your think Nays getting a rough ride no mate nothing like what a labour leader would get . Everybody throws cliches about Corbyn IRA this’and sympathiser that etc but not one labour policy is brought to fore because they are good policies and workable policies . The EU are bringing legislation on EU supported tax havens and that’s why the right wing Tories want us to crash out to save them and their friends from falling in line . Labour are in front on most polls don’t believe the hype mate these same polls the Tories refer to had the Tories massively in front so much do arrogant May called a snap election (which she said would never happen) on the back of these polls and looked what happened and that’s why they are very wary now and rolling out every dirty trick and name calling etc etc . Everybody has had enough of this rotten lousy self preservation inept administration . They gave altered some constituents to further their cause and gain favour in the elections and that’s why in some quarters it looks close but they will be gone make no bones otherwise she’d call for an election but she darent
The clues in the word charity. I don’t care what he earns especially no one involved with a charity should take massive amounts of money out of it in terms of earnings.
You seem to think I’m a May sympathiser... It wouldn’t be the same under any labour leader. His current stance is ridiculous. I see both leaders getting rightly lambasted and ridiculed. Looking back to Mays pathetic speech at her conference with the coughing and falling letters, did it not get reported? Just because the tories have an incompetent self absorbed leader, doesn’t mean that labour does... unless they want lose any election. Unfortunately, the further left a person wants to be, the more the person thinks they’re a victim. If Labour made a positive change, they’d be unstoppable imo.
Of course pal. It’s all about personal stance and observations. That’s how/why we debate this nonsense.
taking 1 pound for every 800 pound spent according to the Times - I get your point re charity but it seems to be the norm with ceo salaries in charities whatever the charity may be -
I agree there the people in the higher echelons of charities are dodgy. Miliband is certainly not the worst.
